Astrology For Aug 30-Sep 5 2021

We begin the week with Mercury having entered Libra, while the Moon is in curious, multitasking Gemini. The emphasis is in harmonizing and cooperation, perhaps amidst tensions or a frazzling atmosphere with a lot to adapt to (Mars in Virgo.) There's certainly some powerful shifts occurring, in an attempt to be ready to manage whatever comes around the corner next. So, preparation, adaptation, and cooperation are ongoing themes. Today can see a busy and talkative atmosphere, with an accent on banter, sociability, and light interactions, with a background that emphasizes  staying on top of changeable situations, adapting, contemplating huge shifts, and being prepared. The moon synching up with Venus and making edgy aspects to Mars and Neptune suggests a need for helpfulness, compassion, understanding, and doing whatever we can to make things easier and more harmonious for ourselves and others.

Today begins on a note of adventurousness, expansion, taking care of business, and perhaps venturing into the unknown, with the Moon in multitasking Gemini squaring Mars in Virgo, while forming a trine to Venus, Jupiter, and a square to Neptune. We may not know exactly what the future has in store, but certain things are set into motion today and can come into alignment that will at least open horizons and possibilities. Later on, the Moon forms a square to Mercury, emphasizing communication, movement, and perhaps some subtle tensions to mitigate. This can be a bit of a nervous energy, that can be entertaining but also somewhat flighty and superficial or surface level. There can be a lot going on in the local environment, neighborhood, or in regards to communications, the written and spoken word, a lot of banter, back and forth, errands, and what have you. This can be a lot to keep up with, and there can be an atmosphere of excitement. The Moon enters cozy Cancer around 10:26 PM PST, and this can place the focus on compassionate communications, or a desire to go within a protective shell and seek emotional replenishment.

Today sees the Moon in comfort seeking Cancer, sextile the Sun in Virgo, which can highlight all the things that need to be taken care of in order to improve comfort and security levels. There may be some vulnerability present or some raw nerves that need tending to, and there may be a need to improvise and innovate as the Moon forms a sextile to Uranus later on. The Moon in Cancer can see us sensitive to what's going on in the environment, and to all the changes that are occurring that may be taking us out of a comfort zone and needing to improvise a new one.

Today can see some strongly emotive and creative energies, with the Moon in watery Cancer squaring Venus, sextile Mars, trine Neptune, and opposite Pluto. This can see an intense and impactful atmosphere, and there can be an earthy electricity in the air. Mars in Virgo wants to be productive, Neptune and Venus want to relax. Although, getting completely comfortable and secure can still require some work or for some adjustments or improvements to be made.  Mars trine Pluto has been navigating a lot of details, responding to crises, and driven towards problem solving and improvements, (Virgo), and this may have required some intense adjustments or transformations (Pluto.) This has been an ongoing process of innovation, and many of us are making things up as we go, while staying as methodical and security minded as possible. There can be some underlying tension or intensity to navigate under the surface today, but Venus in Libra still in harmony with Jupiter helps to cultivate harmony and diplomacy.

Today might see some challenges as the Moon enters celebratory Leo to oppose Saturn, there may be some shyness, inhibition or poor timing to contend with, but a sextile to Mercury in diplomatic Libra helps smooth things over, and could bring the possibility of good news through others, or simply the need to cooperate. Evening time sees a lunar trine to Chiron and Juno, suggesting connections with others boost our morale or perhaps there's something of a modest gain or milestone to celebrate that boosts optimism. Nevertheless, things can be chaotic and there is still some instability, unknowns, or surprises to navigate.

Today can see the need to improvise around challenges, delays, blockages, or to summon resilience in the face of instability. The Moon in theatrical Leo squares Uranus in Taurus while opposing Saturn and tribe Chiron. Challenges may require courage and a willingness to take calculated risks. These aspects can see some unexpected shifts, but perhaps this can also see some good fortune, in the very least some generosity and high ideals, with a lunar opposition to Jupiter later on. This can see a somewhat indulgent atmosphere unfold in the later hours of Saturday. Perhaps a good time for a good time. The weekend closes out on a note of needing to get better organized and take care of details after a rather fun seeking atmosphere.

This morning See's the Moon in Leo sextile Venus and opposite Jupiter, which can still see the emphasis on enjoyment, pleasure and good times in the early morning hours. The Moon enters Virgo at 4:06 PM PST, which shifts the focus towards preparing for the week ahead, which looks set to begin on a dynamic note that will require a lot of adaptation, improvisation and quick problem solving. Venus trine Jupiter is generous and indulgent, and it might be wise to reign in impulsive or lavish tastes in order to preserve security and be economical. Monday could see an active day with a lot to take care of, and there can be more shifts in dynamics or situations that can require an adaptable mindset. Decisions will need to be made eventually when it comes to preventing, mitigating or avoiding crises, and there can be an atmosphere of uncertainty and things being up in the air or "at sea". Monday is a New Moon, and this New Moon encourages a flexible mindset when it comes to navigating changeable circumstances.

Monday, August 23, 2021

Happy birthday to all my Sun sign Virgos out there! We begin this week with the Moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune, and opposite Mercury and Mars in crisis oriented, improvement seeking Virgo, still holding a tail end sextile to erratic Uranus in the first portion of the day. This suggests a lot of uncertainty in the face of a great many changes, while certain things feel like they're dissolving. There could be a sense of melancholy or vague worries, as the ground beneath us is shifting. There can be a lot to prepare for, and a feeling of "hangover" from the Full Moon.  We are now officially in Virgo season, and this brings the spotlight upon crisis management, health, quality control, stripping things down to their bare essentials, and being as prepared for anything as is humanly possible. The need to improvise and innovate and make rapid fire adaptations, perhaps under some pressure, can be highlighted here. The Full Moon along with Uranus stationing retrograde last week may have brought a lot of shocks or changes to the foreground. Now we enter Virgo season in full swing, and handling details, fine print, managing and preventing disasters or crises, and planning ahead become increasingly highlighted by this solarization of Mars and Mercury. A lunar sextile to Pluto later on suggests some rather dramatic transformations are underway, and although the sextile is harmonious, it doesn't change the heaviness driving some of these changes to take place. The lunar/Neptune contact can indicate a need to release certain things for the time being, and it can feel as if much is in the hands of the fates. Faith can feel tested, and there can be a nervous excitement and feeling of intensity around whatever is unfolding. Regardless of how these maths are impacting you, Mars, Mercury, and now the Sun in Virgo emphasize a drive to seek improved conditions, and also to be of service to others somehow. Venus opposite Chiron and trine Saturn exhibit great solidarity amidst vulnerability, weakness, or a feeling of helplessness. This can see great cooperative efforts in the midst of difficulties and challenges. People having other people's backs. Teamwork, cooperations, collaboration, and working together form a strong backbone through great uncertainty.

This morning begins with the Moon in late Pisces, perhaps on a bit of a weary or sleepy note. Maybe just a bit of nervous exhaustion is present amidst a great many details to manage and much to prepare for, when there is also a simultaneous need for rest and recuperation. There is a need to "keep it pushin". The Moon enters Aries in the afternoon, to oppose Venus, and this can emphasize a need to coordinate with others and fuse together the wills and schedules of different people. There can be slight tension in the atmosphere, but the Aries Moon also provides a sort of "second wind" in the face of any nervous exhaustion brought about by the more retiring but nervous Pisces lunation. The lunar conjunction to Chiron strengthens the will and courage, in the face of challenges, and provides more willpower and focus. A tribe to the relationship asteroid Juno suggests some supportive relationships are in play here that can boost morale and even add a sense of adventure and expand our horizons and sense of optimism. This can make it easier to embrace changes and cultivate an outlook of grand adventure as opposed to dread. A lunar sextile to Saturn in the evening suggests some stability is achieved, or a commitment to change is set into motion. This can involve working in tandem with others somehow, and there may even be some pleasant exchanges or serendipitous meetings that await. Tomorrow can see much to adapt to, and getting everyone on the same page or working with differing schedules, timetables, agendas, and challenges can be the modus operandi of the day.  Mars in Virgo trine Uranus can see a lot to adapt to, and a lot of details to navigate and attend to amidst a great deal of unpredictability and change. It can all be a bit harried, but there is an atmosphere of solidarity and team work, amidst vulnerability.

Today sees the Moon in Aries conjunct Chiron, trine Juno, and opposite Venus in Libra. This can emphasize relationships with others, and a need for tolerance, compassion, understanding, and cooperation. There may be a lot of differing needs to harmonize, and at the same time, interactions with others can strengthen our morale, open up our world, and help us cultivate a feeling of hope and courage. With Venus trine Saturn now, solid alliances are being formed that can help us feel stronger where we have felt weak. This can see some very interesting alliances that remind me of Joe Cockers "I get by with a little help from my friends". There's a humanitarian and unusual or eclectic element to interactions now. With Mars in Virgo trine Uranus, it can be necessity or even crisis, or perhaps just the desire to seek healing or improvement, or to be of help or of service to those in need that are bringing others together right now. A lunar quincunx to Mars can see some irritability or nervous tension, perhaps due to all the changes going on and the amount of rapid fire adaptation it all reauires. Later on, the Moon goes on to square Pluto in Capricorn, and this can see some underlying growing intensity, as more dramatic shifts prepare to enter the fold.

This morning see's the Moon in Aries square Pluto, while sextile Jupiter in Aquarius. There can be a lot of generosity in these aspects. This can see some excitement and anticipation. There can be intensity perhaps, maybe even a certain element of drama, but there is also a sense of adventure and serendipity, perhaps even "fatedness" in the air. As the Moon enters the later degrees of Aries, it builds a trine to the Sun in Virgo, increasing a feeling of anticipation, and this can highlight a need or desire to get more grounded, settled, or rooted. The Moon enters earthy and sensual Taurus in the evening, placing the focus on creature comforts and adding a more venusian element to the atmosphere. Grounding activities that add to a feeling of stability, such as cooking, self care, self nurturing, organizing, can help to feel more settled and prepared for a continuously dynamic atmosphere.

Today see's the Moon in Taurus, conjunct Uranus, square Saturn, and trine the Sun and Mars in Virgo. This can see a dynamic day, even though the Moon in Taurus is rather easy going, the lunar square to Saturn can suggest there is still much to adapt to, and a need to cultivate stability within change. The lunar Mars contacts can see a lot of energy in the atmosphere, and the Uranus contact can see yet more changes rolling in that create more interesting, exciting, or unpredictable elements. Excitement can be present, but there can also be subtle, challenging influences or dynamics to navigate. With Venus in Libra trine Saturn, and the Moon in earthy Taurus squaring Saturn and conjunct Uranus, it could be that new dynamics or people enter the fold, and this can shake things up in positive and dynamic ways. There may be subtle challenges under the surface that require maturity and resilience to navigate. There can be an earthy electricity in the air that can also require some restraint, discernment, or control somehow, but overall, this looks set to be an interesting, dynamic, and exciting day.

Today, the Moon in Taurus makes trines to Mars and Mercury in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn, a sextile to Neptune, and a square to Jupiter, while still conjunct Uranus. This can see a magical and selectively indulgent atmosphere, perhaps even some fated feeling meetings and encounters. There can be a feeling of serendipity, and a lot of positive chemistry and feel good dynamics can be present that can boost vitality, feed idealism and a sense of magic, beauty and enjoyment. We can be attracted to unusual people or places, and there can be an electric quality to conversations and a lot of inspiring back and forth. A sense of awe, wonder, fascination, and enjoyment of the little things can be present. This looks set to be an enjoyable, inspiring, and indulgent Saturday. Perhaps it's been well earned.

Early morning we see the Moon in the final, most urgent degree of Taurus, trine Mercury and Pluto, while still squaring Jupiter. This can see some big ideas, perhaps even some positive events or good fortune that have inspired dramatic shifts in perspectives or even personal dynamics or undertakings. The Moon enters curious and talkative Gemini mid morning, to trine Saturn in Aquarius, and this can see some positive deals or collaborations unfolding, and perhaps there is a search for information or a need to exchange ideas. The Moon squares the Sun in detail oriented Virgo, and this can see a need for creative problem solving and a need to sort what is realistic from what is overly optimistic or unfeasible. This can see a busy or somewhat nervous atmosphere, maybe a lot of running around, errands, and communications to manage, but it's all in the name of cultivating more stability and navigating a lot of change. With Venus no longer aspecting Saturn, but strongly conjunct the asteroid Vesta, there can be some sacred interactions unfolding now, and inhibitions or restraints can be lessoning. Venus is in her prime element and exalted in Libra. You have come together, gathered, and assembled for a reason.  Mercury and Mars trine Pluto are thorough and driven to problem solve and get to the bottom of things. This can be excellent for research, but can also be amazing for having deep discussions and can see fascination and curiosity, but also acuity, good instincts, logic, and a good eye for detail, fine print. These aspects are also good for quality control and digging for excellent bargains we might otherwise overlook. Tomorrow can see some positive developments, interpersonally, as regards relationships, romantically, socially, or otherwise, or commercially, -even in the face of uncertainty, there can be hope, optimism and things to feel inspired about.

Monday, August 16, 2021

We begin this week with the Moon in quirky Sagittarius square Mercury and Mars in Virgo, sextile Saturn in Aquarius, and trine Chiron in Aries. Venus enters Libra today as well, placing the planet of love in a sign she feels right at home within. It’s a mathscape that suggests managing optimism levels, and creating harmony, while keeping a close eye on a crisis, staving one off, or just managing a lot of details. The lunar square to Mars and Mercury in Virgo suggests a watchful eye and a readiness to take action at any moment. It’s an edgy vibe that deals with stressful, tense, (perhaps even somewhat dire) circumstances via satire and humor in an attempt to keep dread, madness, anxiety, and absurdity at bay.  With Venus now in Libra, now might be a good time to find yourself an apocalypse partner, if you don’t already have one. There may be some positive trends today that bring balance to a situation that has felt… out of balance. As I type this in an oxygen depleted environment that is hot as hellfire, I look at these maths and can’t help but think about what I’m going to do about exercise, oxygen, sunlight, and getting my dog to a place where we can access all of these things this week without being asked to “show my papers”. Optimism has not been easy, as things have felt pretty bleak. Personally, I’ve been locked inside an extremely hot box with low oxygen levels for the past several days, so not exactly feeling on my A game these past couple weeks. My dog needs me to remain alive so he can access breathable oxygen, go on runs, and eat healthy food, so protecting my dog is literally the only reason that I’m stick around and keep grinding. Whatever your version of this feeling is, this is the note we begin the week on.  Trying to maintain optimism, courage, and humor in the face of a poorly managed train wreck. The Moon in Sagittarius attempts to find some humor and hope in it all, while keeping a broad spectrum, vigilant eye on the unfolding doomscape in order to be ready for…..whatever comes next. This could be a busy day, and there might actually be some pockets of stability, balance, or things to feel modestly optimistic, hopeful, or relieved about today, with the Moon sextile Saturn and trine Chiron. (Maybe we’ll get a small ration of something akin to oxygen in my neck of the woods). That’s it for Monday folks. Good luck out there this week.

Today see’s the Moon in later degrees of Sagittarius trine the Sun, square Venus, and sextile Jupiter, while squaring Neptune. This can see some vague worries or uncertainty, but also hints of optimism, and maybe some relief. It’s probably a good idea not to get too comfortable with the idea that you can rest on your laurels, with both Mars and Mercury in busy, problem solving Virgo, but do enjoy whatever relief, hope, or optimism that flows your way today while it lasts. Venus in Libra places the focus on pleasure and connecting with others, and doing so can boost morale and optimism levels and take the edge off of feelings of uncertainty or worry. Venus trines Saturn, and this can see some solid connections made that can create a feeling of solidarity or boost feelings of happiness somehow. It can feel good to have a support network. The Moon enters stoic and earthy Capricorn in the final hour of the evening, and this can see tomorrow hold some spontaneous encounters or communications, perhaps some last minute plans or changes in response to surprises. Best to keep a flexible schedule and expect the unexpected.

Today see’s the Moon in grounded Capricorn, trine Mercury and Mars in Virgo, and Uranus in Taurus, while squaring Chiron. This can see some last minute problem solving, innovation, or spontaneous, unexpected happenings, or surprising communications. With the Moon square Chiron there can be a bit of vulnerability here, or at least an awareness of weakness, but the lunar trine to Mars is determined to improve things, improvise, and muscle through the day. With Venus trine Saturn, a sense of solidarity with likeminded others can increase feelings of stability within a changeable atmosphere. It’s possible some good news is even received. This can be a productive day in the very least, with a practical bent, but it can see a need to remain adaptable and innovate. There might even be some fun diversions. Tomorrow can be introspective, as there may be a lot to take in or meditate on, and we can be highly attuned to subtlety, navigating through instinct.

Today see’s the Moon in serious Capricorn conjunct powerful Pluto and sextile sensitive and imaginative Neptune. Our instincts and intuition can be highly attuned to what’s going on, and there can be some intensity in the atmosphere. Mars in Virgo is in problem solving and prevention mode, and attempting to innovate solutions, prevent a crisis, and anticipate any issues that could arise. Uranus also stations retrograde at 6:40 PM PST, and will be retrograde until Jan 18 2022. Uranus stationing retrograde can change things. Sometimes this can be an abrupt change that takes us on a completely new path. There can be feelings of apprehension or nervousness. Some can experience these changes as positive and unexpected, others can experience changes that are shocking or jarring in a less positive sense. It all kind of depends on your personal natal chart how this will shake up your life and cause a lot of change to unfold, perhaps very quickly. The need to improvise, adapt, and innovate will be emphasized during this retrograde journey. Being in Taurus, this could have financial, practical, material, or physical implications. As the Moon enters the late degrees of Capricorn, it goes on to build a trine to Venus in Libra. This can see some positive interpersonal connections, perhaps some totally unexpected shifts in dynamic going on in regards to our relation to others. Venus forms an opposition to Chiron in Aries today however, and this can see a lot of compassion on the one hand, but may also pose challenges around harmonizing differing perspectives, values or agendas. This can create some feelings of vulnerability interpersonally, as our own needs, values, and desires and those of others can feel at odds from time to time under this aspect, but it can also emphasize the importance of tolerance and understanding.

The Moon enters unorthodox and rebellious Aquarius at 1:49 AM PST, in the wee hours of the AM. Here, the Moon syncs up with Venus and conjoins Saturn, while squaring Uranus, and sextile Chiron. Perhaps there’s some unexpected shifts in dynamics, and maybe it’s for the better, in the very least, necessary for now. There can be a sense of solidarity through an unpredictable landscape, and it can feel good to have people on our side who have our back. There can be a sense of humanitarianism and compassion in the air, but also rebelliousness, quirkiness, and unpredictability. These are certainly weird times. There can be a lot of excitement, and the lunar conjunction to Saturn also suggests the potential for some seriousness, or some level of challenge, maybe hard work or diligence is required in some way. But there can be teamwork and cooperation as well, and everyone has different skills and resources to offer and contribute. Although this mathscape is fairly independent and wild, it can also highlight our interdependence on one another.

Today see’s the Moon in Aquarius conjunct Jupiter, and opposes the Sun in 29 degrees Leo. This can see an emphasis on individuation, freedom, and humanitarianism. The Sun in the final degree of Leo can see a sense of urgency around these themes. There can be a generous and expansive atmosphere on the one hand, while the differences between others can be highlighted on the other. Venus attempts to harmonize and maintain diplomatic relations while navigating a sea change, and trine Saturn she is interpersonally and financially conservative, cautious and careful. These are some adventurous vibes to say the very least, so having Venus positively linked to Saturn can help create a stabilizing undercurrent and favors taking calculated risks. As we build up to a Full Moon in freedom fighter Aquarius, in which we will enter into Virgo season immediately afterwards, the themes of freedom, rebellion, truth, justice, and individuation are writ in large, -and in cartoonishly theatrical font. This lunation makes it loud and clear that the themes of Aquarius need to be recognized, fully valued, -and given their proper due. Mercury goes on to trine Pluto as well, and this can see a lot of details coming to light, and increase a sense of intensity and magnitude of things. This aspect is excellent for sleuthing, researching, investigating, illuminating,- and distilling bullshit. With Mercury trine Pluto, Uranus, and opposite Neptune, the Universe tires of fuckery and wants to bring common sense and honesty back into vogue. This aspect also makes any attempts to conceal or manipulate the truth stand out like a sore thumb. These aspects also make for a focused, innovative, and creative approach that can be good for problem solving and brainstorming.

The Full Moon in Aquarius occurs at 5:22 AM PST this morning, conjunct Jupiter. This can be a larger than life feeling Full Moon that could feel down right theatrical, perhaps even a bit absurdist or Gonzo in nature. At 5:43 AM PST, the Moon enters reflective, sensitive, and imaginative Pisces, where it opposes Mars in Virgo, and makes a minor aspect to Venus. There can be subtle tensions to navigate. There could be some lucky breaks or windfalls that come with (or follow) this Full Moon. Perhaps in some ways this is unexpected, but more than likely it’s due to a lot of effort, time, patience, or hard work. The Sun makes it’s annual ingress into Virgo at 2:35 PM PST, highlighting all things Virgo, be it health, details, work, service, pets, crisis, crisis prevention, making improvements, perfectionism, worry, and being prepared. As the day wears on into evening, there can be a lot of sensitivity to the environment, and perhaps a subtle nervous tension in the atmosphere. Tomorrow there can be some worry wart vibes and a desire to seek and promote soothing and calm, or keep our ear to the ground and tune into our instincts. A sort of Full Moon hangover by the looks of it.

Monday, August 9, 2021

We begin this morning with the Moon in 29 degrees Leo, conjunct Mercury, Mars, and opposite Jupiter. These configurations confer courage and strengthen the spirit, perhaps in the face of what may have been some chaotic, overwhelming, or destabilizing circumstances. The Moon swiftly enters Virgo, emphasizing common sense, realism, reality checks, attending to the basics, and hands on crisis management, all during some rather draining feeling influences that are perfecting today (Venus/Neptune). The lunar conjunction to Mars can see some irritation, agitation, or a need to take action to solve problems, handle details, duties, or improve conditions in some area. It can be grounding to focus on something practical. This can see an active day with some uncertainty to confront or crises to handle. It may be difficult to pin point what the best trajectory is, and this can be a busy day with a lot of details to manage or work to do, and the atmosphere of “crisis management” or unanticipated circumstances that have required adaptability, can seem to be a prevailing undercurrent. Taking some time for self care can be important, as there may have been some shake ups at the New Moon that require some regrouping.  Evening see’s a lunar sesquisquare to Pluto, which can see some underlying intensity, along with a lunar trine to Uranus, which grows stronger tomorrow. It’s an atmosphere of “be ready for anything”, and emphasizes a need to think on your feet and improvise in order to increase security levels or manage a lot at once. There can be some pleasant surprises around the corner or a feeling of excitement, but also uncertainty.

This morning see’s the Moon in Virgo conjunct Venus and Mars, while trine Uranus and opposite Neptune. It can feel good to get more organized or prepared, and make things more efficient amidst uncertainty, and there may be some need for creative innovation due to forces beyond our control, or something not working out how we had planned. As the day wears on, we could feel we’re getting more of a foothold and sense of control over things as the Moon trines Pluto. Conversely, this can see us intensely focused on things *because* they feel out of our control, and there’s a driving need to feel prepared, or stay on top of any potential train wrecks or slippery, unreliable situations. There may be some pleasant diversions or detours, and circumstances can be highly unusual.  With Venus opposite Neptune and trine Pluto, there can be a lot of love and understanding across vast differences, and the theme of compelling but unusual attractions can also be ongoing, although there can be a lot of distractions and other draining influences to manage this week.  The Moon/Venus/Pluto contacts today emphasizes seeking out pleasure, beauty, and things that make us feel good, along with efforts to improve things, and bring more harmony amidst chaos and unpredictability. There can be an intense drive to step back into a more powerful position, slowly but surely, after having to regroup, improvise, or rethink something, due to some instability.

This morning begins with the Moon in late Virgo, conjunct Venus and trine Pluto,  while opposite Neptune, which can see a need to get to the bottom of something. There might be some vague worries or uncertainties around something, but the Moon/Venus/Pluto contact can help form a game plan and make empowering choices. The idea here is to strengthen your position and sense of security by attending to details and making improvements in the here and now. Afternoon see’s the Moon enter partnership oriented Libra, where the Moon trine’s Saturn. This can bring more stability within change as well as facilitate cooperation and working together with others, or seeking to harmonize amidst a whole lot of changes or an unpredictable atmosphere. A lunar opposition to Chiron can highlight vulnerabilities, but the Libra Moon emphasizes a desire for harmony, beauty, charm, getting along, and cooperative efforts. Mercury moves into Virgo today, bringing more focus to details and organization, and taking a closer look at the fine print of things. This can also see communications more emphasized in regards to others, and seeking common ground, but this time from a place of realism, groundedness, and realistic expectations. Mercury here can act as a helpful bullshit distillery, but also can increase the impulse to communicate and take more initiative regarding getting in touch with others. This could revolve around solving problems or managing or preventing a crisis somehow. There can also be an element of perfectionism as well, or a tendency to get lost in details, so being able to see the forest through the trees is important. This transit can put us in touch with others who can be helpful, and place a focus on finding solutions to problems and improving things.

Today begins with the Moon in Libra trine Saturn, which can be a stabilizing influence and assist in harmonizing disparate elements or temperaments. The lunar opposition to Chiron can highlight vulnerabilities and emphasize the fact that no man is an island, and sometimes working together with others or reaching out for feedback or assistance somehow becomes a source of strength or increased stability.  With Mercury now conjunct Mars, there can be increased emphasis on communications. Perhaps this is through necessity that we take more initiative in this area. There could be a weakness, vulnerability, or time of need to address, (Moon/Chiron).  With the Sun squaring Uranus, there may have been an undercurrent of unpredictability or a bit of “shock and awe”, or something unexpected, or unreliable, that’s required innovation, change, rapid thinking, or quick adjustments with short notice. Teamwork or combining forces with others somehow can help foster more stability and assurance.  The Moon goes on to sextile the Sun while squaring Pluto, and there can be some powerful undercurrents or a push to be more outwardly expressive, or to shed light on something that’s going on that needs to be transformed.

Today begins with the Moon in late Libra trine Jupiter Rx in Aquarius, while squaring Pluto in Capricorn. There can be some powerful alliances formed, perhaps there are intense circumstances that bring people together, or there is a need to widen our social net or experiment a bit. There can be some strokes of good luck or a sort of “guardian angel” feeling to these maths, but there could also be some challenges that require improvisation or reaching out to others and expanding terrain, perspective, or making contact with others. Perhaps taking initiative communication wise in some way. There can be an intensity of feeling lurking under the surface, and early evening see’s the Moon head into do or die Scorpio, making a sextile to Mercury in Virgo while still squaring up to Pluto, but then switching that up to a square to Saturn. Perhaps it’s a case of necessity being the mother of invention, or something drives us to need to contemplate taking action, dropping something, changing something, reaching out, communicating a need, or expanding our range in some way to make things more efficient. There could be some challenges or blockages, or a need for resilience. There could be a need to take action on Saturday, and there’s a possibility of some unexpected shake ups or surprises, but most likely beneficial. Stay confident in your ability to solve problems, face down challenges, and act in your own best interests. Positive connections can be made.

Today see’s the Moon in emotionally intense Scorpio, sextile Mars in Virgo, square Saturn, and opposite Uranus. There can be some challenges but there is also confidence to face them. There is a certain “robustness” to these maths, and the opposition to Uranus can see some emotional instability or perhaps just some shocks or surprises or unusual circumstances that require adaptability, while the square to Saturn may require us to dig into our inner reserves and maintain a certain stoic resilience. Fortunately the lunar/Mars sextile brings self assurance and an ability to be assertive and confident in handling whatever life throws at us. There could be something unusual about whatever comes up, and the Scorpio lunation calls us to trust our gut and follow our instincts.  Later on, the Moon goes on to trine reflective Neptune, while squaring the Sun, and still opposing Uranus. This can close out the evening on an intuitive note, and is a good time to pay attention to psychic impressions and follow your instincts, pay attention to hunches, and trust your feelings about things. There can be some surprising insights or a need to “keep your finger on the pulse”, as positive shifts happen. Monday can actually bring some pleasant, expansive, or refreshing experiences. There may be a subtle atmosphere of intensity where things feel somewhat surreal, but Venus will shift sign, into Libra, where the planet of love and harmony is right at home.

Monday, August 2, 2021

We begin this week with the Moon in curious Gemini, with the Sun and Mercury both opposite Saturn, square Uranus, while trine Chiron. The Sun/Saturn square is perfected today, and this can represent an impasse of sorts, but also a desire for constructive change. The Moon squares Mars and Jupiter, while trine Saturn in Aquarius. It’s clear that something has to change, or in the very least, must be questioned. With Mars and Venus in Virgo, problems are very easy to see, and there is a drive to improve things. These transits can see people needing to focus on the tasks at hand, so there may be a need to give people a wide berth and not interfere with one another. It’s a taking care of business sort of vibe, with a lot of details to tend to, even though the Sun and Mercury want to play. Underneath this practical drive are also some rebellious undercurrents, where beliefs are challenged or questioned and there can either be wordy combativeness or ferocious arguments, -conversely, there can equally be convincing cases to hear alienated or suppressed perspectives (Sun/Mercury opposite Saturn and square Uranus.) The Moon in communicative Gemini goes on to sextile the Sun in Leo, and this can see opportunities to build bridges. With the Moon square Mars, people won’t simply take being told to shut up and do what they’re told lying down.  Arguments “won” on such grounds aren’t really truly “won” anyhow. If you have to silence or blackmail your opposition, it’s an argument of bad faith with little merit to support it besides “might is right”, and under such pretenses, no one wins. This can be more than obvious now. Mars and Venus in Virgo can make shrewd but accurate criticisms or point out what is painfully common sensical. It can also make perfectionism and “purity” an issue. An obvious expression of Mars in Virgo, the sign of health and healing, ruled by Mercury (communication, the mind), -are verbal arguments, conflict, (and combat)- around health, details, or how things are organized. (Shocker right?) Fortunately Venus is also here, helping to harmonize. Common ground, and common sense must prevail. It can be easy to find things about others to criticize, but there are also opportunities to learn details that facilitate unity and widen perspectives, especially as Juno, relationship asteroid, stations direct today in broad minded Sagittarius. The Moon sextile’s Mercury and squares Venus, while trine Saturn. It’s okay to question authority and power, it’s imperative really. This may be uncomfortable, as indicated by a lunar sesquisquare to Pluto, but something is building up that will eventually express itself in a way that can’t be ignored any longer. Perhaps by the weeks end, this will show itself.

This morning begins with the Moon in talkative and curious Gemini still sextile Mercury in Leo, while square Venus in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. Others may be hard to ignore, yet they may represent an alien territory of unknowns that annoys, perplexes, mystifies, or confuses us. There can be culture clashes. With Venus trine Uranus, there can also be something exciting, illuminating, electric, -but erratic- about this. Orthodoxy is questioned, and with Venus also opposite Neptune, there are many uncertainties, but we can be attracted to what and who is highly unusual, seeking to harmonize and resolve differences, perhaps even fascinated by the “alien other.” It’s currently “in vogue”, astrologically speaking, to color outside the lines now, question previous assumptions, and seek new sources of inspiration and information, to shake up what is stale and what is clearly not working out or producing good results. Some may cling too tightly and rigidly to a status quo, methods, or opinions, even when presented with compelling evidence or convincing arguments that there are other approaches or perspectives that are worthy of consideration. This may be a confusing or bemusing day, and there may be much that is grabbing our attention, a lot of impressions to sort through and process. Late night see’s a lunar trine form to Jupiter, and this can boost morale and optimism, and expand consciousness, seeing the evening close out on an imaginative, emotionally generous, and idealistic note.

Today begins with the Moon in late Gemini trine expansive Jupiter and semi square Uranus. The Sun perfects a trine to Chiron in Aries, and this can boost courage levels, strength, compassion, and resilience. There can be more openness to new ways of thinking, interacting, and communicating. These are refreshing aspects that can make it easier to be more open and feel supported or understood, which can help take the edge off the feeling of being scrutinized, criticized, or judged that Mars and Venus in Virgo can often come with. The Moon enters emotionally sensitive Cancer at 2:17 PM PST,  where it forms a sextile to Mars and the healing asteroid Hygeia in Virgo, and this can be emotionally and physically energizing, affirming, healing and even uplifting. Good for the emotional and physical body. These configurations can see us driven towards increasing comfort in some way. There may be some exciting changes around the corner that can bring refreshing and stimulating dynamics into the picture. It’s possible we could feel somewhat challenged on the one hand, but excited and spurred on towards new, unusual or liberating concepts, people and ideas on the other. Ruts must be broken out of. Restrictions must be broken free from.

Today begins with the Moon in comfort seeking Cancer squaring Chiron in Aries while sextile Uranus, and making a sesquisquare to Jupiter. This speaks of expanding upon our comfort zone, letting in fresh insight or stimulus, or challenging our own emotional limits somehow. There can be a sort of “buzz” in the atmosphere that can translate to nervous excitement, or emotional restlessness. There can be some pleasant surprises or deviations to our routines as the Moon goes on to sextile Venus in Virgo. Perhaps it catches us off guard a bit, as the Moon square Chiron can feel a bit vulnerable or weak, but maybe this is still a pleasant shock regardless. The Moon trines Neptune, helping to loosen inhibitions, lower defenses, and increase our ability to pick up on subtle cues, impressions, or serendipities. There can be some interesting insights gleaned under these configurations. Maybe there’s a lot to reflect on. There can be a lot of sensitivity in the air, and the emotional and psychic antenna can be picking up all sorts of impressions. Great math for creativity, artists, and musicians. There can also be some pleasant, inspiring social and interpersonal contacts as well.

Today can see a subtle intensity, with the Moon in Cancer trine Neptune and opposite Pluto. Venus in Virgo also trines Pluto, and this can see us very compelled or focused on something or someone, -perhaps to distraction. These configurations can be profoundly stimulating to the imagination and aesthetic sensibilities. There can also be some perfectionistic tendencies to grapple with here and we could be obsessed around getting something just right or as close to perfect as possible. There’s also an opportunity here for more authenticity and genuineness as well, even with so much ideals and fantasy being stimulated now. There can be some intensity to these undercurrents, and our instincts, intuition, and gut feelings can be highly activated. As we dip into late evening and the Moon inches towards 29 degrees Cancer, this can see some compelling pulls and emotional preoccupations or intensity reach a peak, and the imagination and the feelings can be highly stimulated. It’s like a build up to something is occurring. The Moon enters charismatic Leo at half passed witching hour, giving way to a sort of Twisted Sister vibe that “isn’t gonna take it anymore.”

Today see’s the Moon in Leo conjunct the Sun, trine Chiron, and opposite Saturn. This see’s courage and resilience to be more fearless and authentic, and challenge any sense of restriction or imposition that interferes with free expression and shames the life force and joy out of everything. There can be something profoundly liberating, but also a little disruptive about this mathscape, but perhaps this is a necessary disruption or pushback towards something that’s gone on long enough.  The Moon goes on to square Uranus, coloring the mathscape in rebelliousness and excitement, maybe something shocking or surprising is happening. With the Moon also trine relationship asteroid Juno, this could involve others somehow, in the very least, there can be support backing us up, even if there are challenges or opposing forces, or obstacles. This mathscape favors those who stand up *to* oppressive forces as opposed to favoring those who stand up *for* oppressive forces. Venus in Virgo attempts to mediate between opposing camps, but the pendulum of justice swings towards freedom of expression and fighting for the right to party, and away from just “going along to get along”, or unjustly controlling and restricting the lives of other people. If the idea of not being able to control other people’s bodies, speech, movements, culture, and life trajectories makes you feel upset, -brace yourself for the fact that the universe sharply disagrees with taking away people’s self determination. This can also be experienced more personally as a simple liberation from the dreariness and/ or loneliness of a stale, (and sterile) robotic routine.

Today see’s the New Moon in Leo at 6:50 AM PST, conjunct the Sun, Mercury, trine Chiron, opposite Saturn, and square Uranus. This can see a fearless embrace of authenticity and a drive towards free expression that can feel almost therapeutic. The opposition to Saturn is weak, while the Uranian contact is strong. There is also a conjunction to the Part Of Fortune at this New Moon which can see some fortuitous events. There’s a courageousness to this mathscape that doesn’t want to be inhibited or confined any longer, whether these restraints are imposed from without or are coming from within. There’s something almost cathartic, innocent and child like about this New Moon that can be really healing and freeing. Maybe we do something out of the norm, or we do something we’ve been wanting to do forever but haven’t felt allowed to or able to do. A lunar opposition to Jupiter can see an indulgent atmosphere. There can be uplifting or inspiring communications, and creativity can be lit. As New Moons are about planting new seeds, the area of your chart ruled by Leo can see the signs of a new beginning starting to unfold that can feel life affirming and invigorating. There can be a sort of electricity in the air under these configurations. Leo is loud, proud, fearless, and shameless. This mathscape is very symbolic of shaking free of shackles, restrictions, inhibitions, and fear, and embracing more courage, joy, love, and authenticity. Living more freely, fearlessly, courageously, and out in the open.
