Astrology For The Week Of June 24-30 2019

We begin the week with the Moon still in emotive, sensitive Pisces, forming a trine to Mercury and Mars in Cancer. This could see us pleasantly motivated and highly imaginative. This could be a somewhat productive day, particularly for those in creative fields, spiritual or healing pursuits.
There is a sensitivity, empathy, and even self sacrifice in the air. We can be saying some farewells in some cases,  experiencing sense a longing, or simply enjoying ourselves in solitude and reflection.
With Venus square Neptune and in opposition to Jupiter, areas of love, relationship, self worth, money and finances, could have a somewhat delusional flavor. Some people could be experiencing the “love of their lives” right now, even if only just in their imaginations. Whether or not our idealized projections stand up to reality, is yet to be seen. Others could find it difficult to know up from down, from day to day, or minute to minute, but there could be high hopes, significant longing, and a desire to see the best in people and situations.  The Venus contacts to Jupiter and Neptune illustrate inflated expectations, information gathering, along with a curious ability to “let go, and let God.”  If you are familiar with the A.A/N.A “Serenity Prayer”, it’s a good time to keep it firmly in mind.

Tuesday see’s the Moon in Aries, conjunct Chiron, and square the Sun in sensitive Cancer. Chiron is also square the Sun, while the Sun sextiles Uranus in Taurus. Many of us are experimenting with new ways to handle old wounds, or are in the process of reconditioning outworn emotional patterns. There could be latent vulnerabilities to contend with, but certain aspects, such as a Lunar trine to generous Jupiter later on Tuesday afternoon, could bring some optimism and expansiveness to our inner or outer landscape. “Ooooh child..things are gonna get easier.” Even in the face of vulnerabilities it always helps to cultivate a positive attitude, and a healthy moral philosophy.

Later Tuesday evening however, the moon squares Saturn. There could still be some roadblocks, delays, or reality checks to contend with. Perhaps we are simply frustrated with how long something is taking. This could also see some of us feeling a bit emotionally inhibited, even if we are bubbling over inside with enthusiasm. Our passion and optimism regarding certain people or situations can be laced with considerable vulnerability.
It’s as if we are simultaneously expecting the best, but preparing for the worst. It helps to not be tied to any outcome at all and only focus on what you personally have control over-yourself.

MIDWEEK.

Wednesday, the 26th, see’s the Moon in Aries sextile to Venus, still trine to Jupiter, while squaring both Pluto and Saturn, as well as Mars… This is simultaneously pleasant and also rather uncomfortable. We may be aware of certain feelings and possibilities, yet feel somewhat stifled about realizing them. There could also be some deeper, more intense realities going on under the surface, and out of view, than we are aware of, or than we perhaps feel comfortable sharing, and this could make us feel rather vulnerable. Keeping everything “light and breezy” in the midst of intense emotions, fixations, insecurities, or heavy transformations going on under the surface is a challenge in the art of transmutation. With Venus in Gemini, we may have one foot in and one foot out of something, watching and waiting, and attempting to sort out the real from the fantasy, and fiercely protecting our “bottom line,” even in the midst of otherwise positive, and hopeful developments, or the kindnesses, benevolence, and generosity of others. People and situations must be “sussed out” for us to feel completely secure in our choices.

Later on, Wed eve, 5:19 PM PST, Mercury enters confident and audacious Leo. We may feel an inner excitement about kicking off some new, exciting initiative, creatively (or romantically.) Mercury is more lighthearted and gregarious in Leo, and it can be refreshing to “get a taste” or “catch a glimpse” of our possible futures, and gain a pleasant respite from a preoccupation with security, the cloying of the past, and deeper, more emotional realities. As Mercury is set to station retrograde on July 7th, enjoy this while it lasts, because there will be loose ends that Mercury wants to tie up, and feelings to rehash, process, reflect upon, and assimilate during the retrograde journey.  Moving on from past patterns, in any way, is a process, that deserves due consideration.
That being said, there is much wisdom in slowing down and pacing ourselves. Many of us are wiping the slate clean and beginning completely new chapter in our lives. Mercury’s dip into Leo before it’s backward journey into the realm of emotions can infuse us with enthusiasm for the things we would like to create and see unfold in the future.

Thursday the 27th,  see’s the Moon enter slow moving, sensual Taurus, to conjunct unpredictable Uranus, and sextile the Sun. This places Luna into a square with both Mercury (now in Leo) and Mars in late Cancer. We could feel somewhat out of step, and not exactly secure in this “new reality”, but this calls upon our innovative capacities, and challenges us to think more creatively. There can be some indecisiveness in certain regards, and perhaps some impatience or irritability in the air.  Maybe it’s just sexual frustration.

There is an independence,  even “rebelliousness”, an erratic feeling to these configurations, that could be somewhat unsettling to some. With Mercury in Leo now squaring up to Uranus, there is actually the potential for some rather ingenious moves, innovative ideas, but it can be hard to capture them all, as they fly in very quickly. Nevertheless, this is good fodder for inspiration. In some cases, people may find that certain inclinations they may be having might be at odds in some way, with their sense of security, the past, their comfort zones, or their foundations, giving them a lot to think about. In other cases, this is simply about building confidence to embark on new things. Things that are completely new to them, or that require a certain level of innovation.

Change and growth of any kind can be destabilizing, but also exciting. We are slowly being coaxed into new ways of being.

THE WEEKEND

Friday, June 28th, see’s the Moon in Taurus form a trine to Saturn and Pluto, and a sextile to Neptune. These are some rather empowering configurations, as if a safe landing is being made into new terrain. Where Mercury in Cancer is about security, and even self protection, Mercury in Leo is about taking bold risks. This also places Mercury in trine to Chiron, providing opportunity to employ creative approaches to healing emotional wounds.
Perhaps we are seeing some reassuring signs that certain risks will pay off. Friday looks like an overall pleasant, comparatively stabilizing day. Deep changes and transformations are happening here that look ultimately beneficial, and again, -empowering.

Saturday begins with the Moon in late Taurus, in a sextile to Mars and Mercury, while still trine Pluto. We could be receiving some reassuring news, or taking some fun initiatives this weekend, and there could be some excitement in the air.

Later on in the afternoon, the Moon enters talkative and busy Gemini. There is a lot of communication potentially happening at this time and thoughts are focused on love, creativity, enjoyment and entertainment. It looks like a rather peppy atmosphere. The Moon forms a sextile to Mercury in Leo and Chiron in Aries, so whatever communications transpire at this time look set to increase confidence, and sooth any latent “identity wounds.”

Sunday, June 30th, sees the Moon in Gemini in opposition to Jupiter. The Sun begins perfecting it’s opposition to Saturn as well. There could be a rather indulgent vibe going on, the feeling that we have so many options or things we may want to do, places we want to go, people we want to talk to, that the “buffet of life” can feel somewhat overwhelming. The growing Sun opposition to Saturn can make us feel that certain forces are operating against us, or we may be aware of certain restrictions. So although we have certain desires, we may feel some of them are “curtailed.”

A delusional lunar square to Neptune can fuel the imagination with all kinds of hopes and fears, as well as feed inspiration. Later on the Moon inevitably conjuncts Venus, ending Sunday on a pleasant note, where we may content ourselves with banter, conversation, reading, or some form of pleasing stimulus (or form of escapism.) It can be rather challenging to get at the truth of certain persons or situations, or even feel certain in regards to our own feelings at times. With the Sun in Cancer square Chiron and opposite Saturn, many of us may prefer to try to numb or escape certain uncomfortable realities that we may be struggling to assimilate or adapt to.

Mars in 29 degrees Cancer suggests some healing and creative breakthroughs are imminent, as it trines Chiron along with Mercury. Our confidence is certainly growing, and next week could see many of us taking some bold initiatives, experimenting with being a little less risk averse, more confident, more courageous and outgoing.

Thanks for stopping by! May you all have a most triumphant week. See you next Monday!

Astrology For the Week Of June 17th-23 2019

We begin the week coming out of the full Moon in Sagittarius, which encouraged an open minded, consciousness expanding, philosophical bent, and some optimism, even in the face of perhaps somewhat painful realities. The Moon enters serious Capricorn midmorning, around 10 AM, where it’s time to get down to business. A lunar trine to Uranus suggests a sort of “musical chairs” feeling, where we are dealing with a shifting reality that will have some rather long term implications.  The lunar square to Chiron indicates that this somewhat unsettled feeling can have many of us feeling a bit vulnerable.

With Mars opposite Saturn and Pluto, and Mars and Mercury both in trine to Neptune,  many of us can be seeking to alleviate pain, intense feelings of vulnerability, suppression, or significant emotional discomfort, via some kind of escapism. This approach can add more confusion and complication, and even exacerbate discomfort, pain, or vulnerable feelings in the long term however. A higher, perhaps more useful and beneficial octave expression of Neptune is one of reflection, spirituality, and inward seeking, for insight, meaning, and healing. As opposed to further confounding, confusing, or complicating the circumstances we may find ourselves in via outwardly seeking to numb, distract, or further deceive ourselves (or others), and simply “run away”.

Opportunities for deep insights, personal growth, healing, and leaps in consciousness  and personal development are just as available as opportunities for self sabotage, denial, escapism, regression, and self deceit are under these configurations.

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”  -Rumi

Tuesday, see’s the Moon in Capricorn predictably conjunct Saturn and Pluto, and oppose Mercury and Mars. Perhaps certain things have got under our skin more than we would like to let on. With Mercury and Saturn opposite one another, there may be much we are keeping to ourselves and striving to either escape or magically transcend. There is a lot of healing available under these configurations, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s an altogether pleasant process.

The Moon eventually makes a sextile to Neptune in the afternoon of Tuesday, giving us a shot of painkiller amidst some of the more intense or heavy things going on under the surface. Thank goodness for silver linings.

MIDWEEK.

Wednesday, June 19th, the Moon taketh away the pain killer. Venus makes a square to Neptune however, so there can be plenty of distractions (and perhaps more opportunities for confusion as well.) With the only aspects Venus making at the moment being an opposition to Jupiter in Sagittarius and a square to Neptune, there could be some potentially delusional interpersonal behavior going on. For some this is as simple as seeing things or people through rose colored glasses and making extravagant gestures or out of character moves, “Lets get married in Vegas, we’re soulmates.” For others, this could take on a more duplicitous, or deceptive “double dealing” nature. For many, this is just a confusing time of sussing people (or ourselves) out.

Venus in Gemini is most certainly curious, and if anything, rather anxious, and eager to gather as much information and intel as possible. Contacts to Jupiter and Neptune can simultaneously inflate and distort this curiosity, blowing it out of proportion, potentially leading us down a garden path. Pinning anything or anyone down (including ourselves), under Venus in Gemini, is a moot cause. With Neptune involved, things are further complicated by lack of clarity, over idealization, or in some cases, outright deception and manipulation, with some people being a bit too “clever” for their own (or others) good.
However, she will not remain here forever, so it’s definitely wise to keep in mind that she will venture into much more emotional territory, where she will crave safety, security, comfort and familiarity, come July. This could be rather intense or even potentially rather uncomfortable, should things get too “out of hand” now, -as she will oppose the planets of Karma and Power.
As long as curiosity doesn’t “kill the cat” so to speak, there’s plenty to learn, and plenty of interesting distractions to explore, opportunities to expand our territory and communications, and a whole lot of stimulation and activity under the current configurations.

Wednesday evening, around 7 PM PST, the Moon enters detached Aquarius. A lunar square to Uranus in Taurus can certainly see some erratic, out of character behavior, and a need for more emotional (or otherwise) independence and personal freedom.

Thursday, June 20th, see’s the Moon in Aquarius trine Venus in Gemini, hinting at some rather unusual or “unorthodox” interpersonal situations. These have a healing component, with the Moon sextile Chiron involved. There is something “liberating” about these configurations, a break away from oppressive circumstances, feelings, or situations. Stepping “out of character.”  The Sun is at 29 degrees Gemini at this point, indicating an “impatience” or restlessness around communications. It could feel as if certain connections just have to be made and certain things just have to be discussed, and the circumstances or even the connections between people can be rather unusual or “unorthodox” in some way.

There is something “refreshing” about these configurations that hint at a spontaneous, but pleasant break away from “the established norm.” What is discussed could involve some somewhat ironically rather vulnerable material or disclosures, with the Sun squaring up to Chiron, with the intention of potentiating some kind of healing or relief from silent or irresolvable struggles. We could be way outside our comfort zones here, but it isn’t entirely unpleasant. (Just maybe a bit “weird” or unusual.)

THE WEEKEND

Friday, June 21st, see’s the Sun move into sensitive Cancer, with the Moon in unconventional Aquarius still trine to Venus in Gemini, and sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius. This can see us rather keen to expand our territory socially and interpersonally, in an effort to increase our sense of security and feeling “at home” in the world, both online and in real life. We could be adding new “tribe members” or branching out in some way, testing the waters with new people or changing our approaches in our relations somehow. Perhaps experimenting with new communication styles, or how (or even if) we communicate to certain people. Something is being reconfigured socially or interpersonally. This could involve travel to new locales, introductions to new social circles, or unlikely alliances being formed. Socially, interpersonally, and relationally, we are in experimental form and trying new things, new approaches, and new people. This is perhaps driven as much by necessity, and a need for security and self preservation, as it is by genuine curiosity.

Saturday, June 22nd, see’s the Moon enter empathic Pisces, forming a trine to the Sun in Cancer., and a sextile to Uranus in Taurus. A whole lot of feelings are in the air, and it could be hard not to talk about them with Mars in Cancer conjunct Mercury. We could be taking some rather new approaches to dealing with “feelings”, and doing our best to view them with detachment and objectivity, and be unaffected or unswayed by them (Moon sextile Uranus.) Perhaps we are simply trying to make sense of it all and bring a higher perspective to particular emotional realities. Mercury’s backward journey into Cancer will do much to assist us in sorting through and making sense of particular feelings, so these aspects are some intimations of a process that is still very much in an “unpacking phase”.

The Moon in Pisces sextile Uranus could produce some bursts of insight, inspiration, or certain “emotional epiphanies.” Perhaps it will make a particular “bandwidth” available, emotionally speaking, that was somehow “blocked” previously. Or certain boundaries dissolve that make certain connections (or levels of connecting) possible, that previously, were not. In either case, we are branching out into brave new emotional territory at this time, sharing secrets, and dissolving boundaries.

Sunday, June 23rd, see’s the Moon in boundless Pisces conjunct Neptune, squaring Venus in Gemini and Jupiter in Sagittarius. We are definitely in an emotionally experimental frame, expanding our territory and frames of reference here, with the Sun in Cancer sextile Uranus. Later, the Moon sextile Saturn adds some healthy boundary checks into all of this so that things don’t get completely out of control or expand too quickly beyond all reason. A healthy dose of realism and a reminder that all good things require time, patience and effort if they are going to materialize into anything substantial or lasting, is definitely helpful here. It would otherwise be all too easy to take things too far, too fast, -and in way too many directions.

Later the Moon trines Mars in Cancer, suggesting that certain possibilities, or emotional bonds forged, have got us feeling pretty passionate, enthusiastic, comforted, and confident. With Saturn no longer opposing Mars as well, certain emotional blockages and frustrations have been removed, but a major transformation is still underway as we plunge the depths of our passions and our feelings. Dialogue that was perhaps difficult, “off limits”, or impossible, can now begin.
There may be some rather intense feelings lurking under the surface, but a profound investigative and purging process is underway.  With Mercury still in opposition to Pluto and Mars, there are definitely indications of secrecy, shady behavior, paranoia, manipulation, power trips, power struggles, power grabs, obsessiveness, and not exactly “savory”, conscious, or altogether transparent motivations that could be present in people who choose to (consciously or not) operate on that particular bandwidth.
In either case, these aspects are helpful for doing a “deep dive” into our own or others motivations and “keeping it 100” with ourselves.
You can take heart in knowing that any shady, unsavory characters will most certainly be exposed sooner or later, (probably this summer).

I say “take heart”, -unless of course, you’re actually a shady, unsavory character, -in which case, -this might be a super time to (non judgmentally) come clean with yourself/and or/others about your real, actual motivations, to spare yourself the excess paranoia or indignity of “being found out” or “exposed,” because living with that level of unnecessary stress, secrecy, inauthenticity, high drama,  and hiding, has some pretty serious mental, physical, social, and interpersonal health consequences that can’t be staved off forever.

In either case, there are some deep transformations afoot with some potentially very beneficial and powerfully healing breakthroughs available. An eclipse is right around the corner on the Cancer/Capricorn axis. We are in for some potent shifts.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have wonderful week. See you next Monday.

Astrology For The Week Of June 10th-16th 2019.

We begin Monday with the Moon in anxious Virgo, trine Venus, Saturn, and Pluto, square the Sun and Jupiter, and opposite Neptune. We may be hyper aware of improvements and major overhauls we know we need to make, but the path ahead could feel obscure. We may simultaneously view things through a lens of sharp criticism and deep forgiveness. There is an odd mixture of utter realism, boundless compassion, quiet intensity, and even humor available under these configurations.

DAMAGE CONTROL
Mercury in sensitive Cancer squaring Chiron continues the epic Fydor Dostoyevsky novel that Mars originally initiated. We could all be assimilating, sorting and processing a lot, emotionally and otherwise. Collectively and individually, it seems we are all navigating some kind of personal  breakthrough, recovery, vulnerability, sensitivity, ancient wound, weakness, cowardice, or private hell.
It’s a thug life, -and we out here suffering. Hopefully, it just makes us all better at comedy (and empathy).
With the Sun and Venus in Gemini, we may feel better seeking levity and keeping things light and relatively detached, while we break down, confront, sort through, and handle our own respective brands of trauma programming, defective emotional conditioning, cowardice, fear, self sabotage, and/or mental illness. (No big deal. Super simple stuff).
If you’re quietly managing this transmutation work behind the scenes and not screaming or lashing out abusively at others, and even managing to muster some compassion and empathy, in an effort to reduce, rather than multiply the suffering in the world: Thank you. The world needs more kindness. This upcoming Mercury retrograde will be an exercise in courage.

Monday evening see’s the Moon leave critical, anxious Virgo, and enter conciliatory Libra, forming a trine to Venus in lighthearted, nimble Gemini. This makes it a bit easier to focus on the lighter, more pleasant side of life, and to see the best in others. This is helpful, because a lunar opposition to Chiron in Aries may bring out sensitivities and vulnerabilities in regards to relationships, while simultaneously, the square from Mercury to Chiron ends. This can see us trying to bring balance and harmony to dynamics that have gone askew, or feeling the imbalance, dissonance, or wounds within partnerships more acutely. The lunar trine to Venus in Gemini can get us thinking about how to lighten the atmosphere or offer an olive branch, or at least see things in more simple and pleasant terms.

Tuesday, June 11th, see’s the Moon in Libra square Mercury in Cancer. We may be driven to reach out or speak about certain feelings, make a compassionate gesture, or initiate some sort of dialogue, but we may feel at odds about whether it is safe to do so, torn between head and heart, or simply blocked. In the very least, we could be thinking about how to reconcile certain less than ideal interpersonal realities, vulnerabilities, sensitivities, issues to do with the past, and things impacting our emotional sense of comfort and security. Mercury in Cancer directs our thoughts into the heart center. The good news is this can make compassion more readily available in communications. The challenging news is this can also see us feeling more self protective and vulnerable. Later during the afternoon on Tuesday, the Moon also forms a square to Mars, -but without any help from Venus. This may see us more assertive and direct in taking initiatives, particularly in communications. Be careful to avoid conflict however, as people are sensitive, easily triggered, and nursing invisible wounds. Keeping things simple, light, and conciliatory will go a long way to encourage everyone to drop their weapons.  Including yourself, if you’ve been carrying around a metaphorical glock to “protect what’s yours.”

A lunar square to Saturn later can intensify things. There may be a lot we want to express or say, or even a peace gesture we want to make, but we could feel inhibited or blocked from doing so, or certain harsh realities deflate our hopes, weigh us down, or stifle our emotional courage.  Perhaps the risk of having salt poured on to a still fresh feeling wound feels too great, or there are fears of rejection. It can feel difficult to make ourselves vulnerable, and more “safe” to detach and find something light, silly or distracting to occupy our minds with. If you can’t muster a good vibration, courage, empathy, or a positive, constructive mindset, perhaps it’s better to retreat. Although it may feel difficult to escape lingering unresolved emotions or feelings of frustration entirely. Try to cultivate compassion for yourself and others.

A sextile between the Moon in Libra and Jupiter in Sagittarius later on in the evening helps to bring more emotional generosity and philosophical perspective on any interpersonal issues.

MIDWEEK.

Wednesday morning, June 12th, see’s this lunar square between Mars and Saturn naturally extend to Pluto, greatly intensifying our feelings about anything that has felt “off” interpersonally. If we want anything to transform, we must first begin with ourselves, and our approaches. This could require some digging and learning, and being open to new ways of doing things. A trine between the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Libra can see us more willing to be open to other perspectives.

The intensity still lingers through most of Wednesday, but as it wears on we may feel less constricted, frustrated, or inhibited in our communications. A lunar opposition to Uranus in stubborn Taurus, with the lingering square to Pluto, could see us acting a bit out of character, strange, or erratic, and needing more space and freedom. These configurations suggest that something about interpersonal power dynamics need to shift and transform to a healthier place. We may need to detach for a while or seek more independence to sort out particular feelings around our relations.

Late Wed evening, around 10 ish PM PST, the Moon enters intense and moody broody Scorpio, strengthening this Moon/Uranus opposition all the more. There may be some intense feelings we are trying to get a handle on and it could see peoples moods all over the map.

Thursday, June 13th,  see’s the Moon in Scorpio trine Mercury in Cancer. Perhaps this see’s us more inclined to get a little out of our comfort zones and discuss sensitive topics. There is certainly a lot of sensitivity, vulnerability, and intensity under the surface in communications, and even our line of thinking. This could see people in a rather eccentric frame. There may not be a whole lot of clarity available with Neptune squaring the Sun, but a Neptune trine to Mercury means there is certainly compassion and forgiveness available to anyone into that sort of thing.

Later, the Scorpio Moon trines Mars and Neptune as well, adding even more sensitivity, empathy and compassion to any existing stand offs, or making it easier to find relief and release from blocked feeling emotions. Even in total radio silence, or amidst self protective walls, the wells of compassion, unconditional love, forgiveness, and understanding can run deep.

THE WEEKEND.

Friday, June 14th, see’s the Moon in Scorpio still in trine to Mercury, Mars and Neptune, and throws in a sextile too stable Saturn and transformative Pluto to boot. This could mark some powerful turning points or emotional and communication breakthroughs that could feel deeply personal and could have longterm implications, potentially creating a sense of emotional transformation, transmutation, stability, safety, security, -and deep healing. Needless to say, Scorpio plunges the depths and isn’t afraid of the darker side of life, and all of this action in water planets could feel pretty emotionally intense at times.

Saturday June 15th, see’s the Moon enter optimistic Sagittarius, where we feel the build up to the full Moon that will technically climax/occur next Monday. This places the Moon in harmonious trine to Chiron, offering a healing and more philosophical, high minded perspective on any lingering wounds or sensitivities. This lunation also places the Moon and Venus in Gemini in opposition. With Venus in Gemini, we could feel more flighty and detached in relationships, and this lunar opposition with the Moon in Sagittarius can place more emphasis on space and freedom, while simultaneously allowing us to gain perspective on sensitive issues. We may feel somewhat at odds with the demands of others at this time, which is understandable considering the intense alchemy performed during the Scorpio lunation. We may seek space and freedom to adjust our perspectives to the internal and external reality shifts in our emotional landscapes.

Later on Saturday, a lunar conjunction to Jupiter, who is retrograde in Sagittarius and extremely close to earth to the point of being able to see it’s moons with just binoculars. We could certainly be feeling a lift in our spirits and a general morale boost, even if we are still a bit scattered, undecided, or at odds in regards to others demands of us, or the directions we should take in regard to other people. It’s ok to set limits and take a mental health day if need be. It serves no one to push ourselves to a point of stress for the sake of people pleasing if we just aren’t feeling up to it or need to do our own thing to gain perspective on all that has transpired. Finding a balance between our own needs and the needs of other people is an art form that will need to be deployed at this lunation.

Sunday,  (Fathers Day) June 16th, see’s the Moon in Sagittarius square Neptune. This could heighten our empathy and sensitivity quite a bit as we build up to the full moon. This could also make us prone to bouts of confusion, uncertainty, or mood swings. In such an optimistic and expansive sign, we may be prone to seeing things or people through rose colored glasses or entertaining vast hopes. Regardless, it’s always nice to try and see the best in others and in situations. These configurations are good for the arts, music, healing modalities, meditation, contemplation, gaining perspective, and esoteric matters.

As the Moon grows full, (set to climax in the wee hours, 1:31 AM PST June 17th), there may be much to ponder in regards to relationships with others, considering the role Venus plays in this full moon. Venus in Gemini bores rather easily and is more comfortable keeping things light, (one foot in, one foot out), weighing options , entertaining more than one person, analyzing the pros and cons of certain interactions or situations, as opposed to more thorough or definitive enmeshments.

There are many, shifts, changes, and reconsiderations yet to come, in the coming weeks. With a Mercury retrograde right around the corner, I highly suggest slowing down, and reigning in impulsive decisions, as all the facts (or feelings) may not be in our full conscious awareness, and there may be perspectives, feelings, or approaches we have not yet considered.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone has a wonderful week. See you next Monday.

Astrology For The Week Of June 3-9th 2019

HAPPY NEW MOON IN GEMINI!

We begin this week with a New Moon in talkative, busy Gemini. Both the Sun and Moon in Gemini for squares to Neptune in Pisces, and oppositions too Jupiter in Sagittarius. There is a hint of delusion and denial. With a conjunction to Mercury, we may be sifting through emotions and information in as detached a manner as possible, perhaps barely scratching the surface.

There may be much going on in the background or under the surface that we either simply don’t know about, don’t want to see or confront, or haven’t come to terms with.

The involvement with Jupiter and Neptune can make it somewhat difficult to concentrate, as our imaginations may be working overtime. Regardless, there are intimations of more positive circumstances ahead, in spite of confusion, uncertainty, dissolution, or in some cases, outright dishonesty.
Sifting through facts and feelings, as we embark to expand on certain fronts, that will benefit us long term, can be a theme. Perhaps not everything we have uncovered, or continue to unearth, has been “delightful,” and in some cases, certain dreams have actually died, and are being completely replaced with new, more realistic, authentic, and feasible ones, that will better suit us. A letting go and “coming to terms” process that as nebulous as it may feel, has perhaps been long overdue. With an opposition to Jupiter in truth seeking Sagittarius, certain undeniable truths absolutely must be faced and incorporated into our mindset and into our emotional reality.

The more we can integrate unavoidable realities, and factor them into our approach,  the better off we will be able to navigate June, July, and the months and years ahead.

“WHAT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED WILL BE REPEATED.”
With Mars no longer square Chiron, many of us are leaving a painful or difficult period behind us, where we (or others, or both) had to take on some rather defensive posturing, where the focus was very much on self preservation. Now, we can reestablish a fortress of safety, recovery and security, -and slowly but surely experiment with becoming vulnerable again. This time, with hindsight, and healthy, restructured boundaries in place. Although the severity of the Mars/Chiron square is gone, there is still much to clean up from it’s aftermath, and perhaps some of the stings of vulnerability left behind still somewhat fester, as we release aspects of our past that compromise our feeling of safety and sense of self respect.

CUTTING OUT THE CRAP
With Saturn and Pluto in trine to Venus in Taurus, deep shifts and transformations have been underway in regards to partnerships, intimacy, sharing, money, economy, pleasure and self esteem.  Utter realism is required here, and cutting out anything that compromises our longterm security, and making an effort to revise, transform or remove whatever is dysfunctional from our lives, (even if such “cutbacks” or transformations have been uncomfortable) will help set us up for a much stronger and more fruitful foundation. A process of maturation and growth. We could be uncompromising in pursuit of what brings us joy, security, and abundance, and anything that interferes with that and does not contribute to or benefit our longterm advancement will need to be cut out. This need not be unpleasant, and will ultimately be extremely beneficial.

Tuesday morning, around 10 AM PST, see’s the Moon enter emotional Cancer. Here, both Mercury (in the last degree of Gemini) and the Moon, form squares to Chiron. Perhaps something we read, see hear, or a communication we receive, touches upon a wound that hasn’t entirely closed up. Around noon PST, the Moon (conjunct Mars in Cancer) forms a sextile to Uranus in Taurus, encouraging new approaches to old problems or conflicts around our sense of security, vulnerability, the past, and our sense of personal autonomy and identity. Around 1 PM PST, Mercury, planet of the mind and communication, enters sensitive Cancer, placing the communication and thinking emphasis squarely on emotions, the past, security, and vulnerability.
We can seek to liberate ourselves from repetitive and redundant circumstances, interactions, reactions, or responses. Not wanting to repeat what has gone on before can see us in emotionally innovative form, freeing ourselves from outworn and perhaps deeply dysfunctional emotional patterns that don’t serve our best interests. We can feel rather fired up about this as well, with a lunar/Mercury conjunction to Mars. Defending our turf and protecting what’s ours becomes high priority. We may feel great incentive to do so, as not doing so could potentially inflict much pain, or repeat a vicious cycle all over again that we know never leads anywhere promising.

We may have new tools at our disposal, new resources, and new values, even new groups and connections, in which to combat inner (or outer) “demons”, and this can see a rather experimental time ensue in our lives when it comes to “how we have always done things.” If how we have always done things hasn’t been working, or producing the results we would like to see in our lives, clearly, it is time to apply new approaches.

MIDWEEK

Wednesday,  June 5th, see’s the Moon in Cancer oppose stern Saturn in Capricorn, placing an accent on Mars in Cancer’s opposition to this restrictive planet.  This coincides with a lunar trine to Neptune in Pisces, acting as a sort of “anesthetic”. The moon predictably goes on to oppose Pluto in Capricorn as well. Needless to say, this isn’t the most easy going vibe, and we may be unearthing some rather uncomfortable feelings, but could feel restricted around sharing them, or perhaps -we simply know better not to. With Neptune involved in harmonious aspect, we may be trying to rise above, heal, and even dissolve certain feelings that we know won’t lead anywhere constructive.
In either case, it’s a good idea to “vet” any involvements with others at this time, or in the very least, go through a process of purging outworn responses, attachments, feelings, patterns, and connections that compromise our personal sovereignty or security, and simply aren’t in our best interests.

With Mars trine Neptune, our sense of direction can feel a bit off kilter, and we might be very impressionable, vulnerable, and open to suggestion. So it will be important to stay grounded in practical reality.

Thursday, June 6th, see’s the Moon in late Cancer form a lovely lunar sextile to Venus in Taurus, and a trine to Chiron. However- an emotionally destabilizing square to Uranus can see some stubborn and erratic behavior in ourselves or others. Perhaps we just feel unsettled in our deployment of all these new approaches.

The Moon enters Leo around 1 PM PST, which may place a focus on boosting and healing our sense of self esteem and confidence, after it has perhaps taken somewhat of a blow. Healing our sense of identity and trying to bring more of a sense of enjoyment, play and spontaneous self expression into our lives, and allowing the “inner child” out to explore, even in the face of lingering vulnerability and wounds to the identity  (Mercury is now square Chiron), can help to strengthen the spirit.

Mercury now square to Chiron as opposed to Mars, can see the same sort of vulnerabilities in play, only this time, on a more specific and less generalized stage. That of communication, information, written and spoken word, and even social media. All of the arenas can make us feel a bit more vulnerable and exposed, as we negotiate our new realities and “new selves” into the world. The lunar passage through Leo will help provide us with courage to “test the waters”, and get a feeling for our boundaries, vulnerabilities, and limits. We may be contemplating initiatives that perhaps make us feel rather exposed or that push us out of our comfort zones. It can be challenging to combat our inhibitions due to how vulnerable we may feel (Mars opposition Saturn/Mercury square Chiron.) But could be very healing to make an effort to do so.

THE WEEKEND

Friday, June 7th, see’s the Moon still in Leo, trine to Chiron in Aries. Luna goes on to form a sextile to the Sun and a trine to Jupiter. This boosts optimism, morale, and confidence all at once, even in the midst of lingering vulnerability.  There is something bright to look forward to indeed. We may not have everything all figured out, but something is putting some pep in our step as we enter into new times. Some sort of positive validation, or optimism about endeavors can have us feeling “the party spirit.” Summer has arrived, and life is too short to waste it hiding our light under a bushel.

Saturday, June 9th, see’s the Moon in late Leo square Venus in the last degrees of Taurus. This could make it feel a bit difficult to be ourselves with others. Perhaps we have gone out on some sort of limb in some way that causes us to second guess our decisions or behavior, or we have a mild bout of insecurity about something (or someone) new we are trying out or experimenting with. This could be creative or personal in nature, (or both.)

Around 3 PM PST Saturday, the Moon enters fastidious Virgo. This may see us in rather critical frame. Either of ourselves, or others. Due to the Lunar square with aesthetic Venus in the final degrees of Taurus, we may be focusing in on the flaws of ourselves, others, relationships, or our creations in some way. Nothing is wrong with a little constructive criticism, but it’s always wise to remember that we are all only human. Sure, there is always room for improvements, and making improvements in a constructive and humble way is probably the best way to handle this lunation, as it can actually produce rather fruitful results.

Venus moves into dualistic and versatile Gemini at 6:37 PM PST Saturday evening. This begins a cycle of versatility, novelty, communication, and mental stimulation in regards to partnerships and finances. Venus here is rather “surface level,” and has a rather short attention span. She may be more prone to having more than one activity (or even relationship) going on at a time, and prefers to “dabble” rather than go into any great depth. This can be a restless but fun period in relationships, where intellectual rapport, humor, games, shared laughter, and entertainment becomes more important. A very lighthearted, silver tongued, and quick footed Venus cycle, where people tend to try on many hats, taste many flavors, and avoid being pinned down. The key word here is “variety” and changeability. Venus in Gemini has many faces and many masks.

Sunday, June 9th, see’s the Moon in Virgo sextile Mercury in Cancer, while still in trine to Uranus in Taurus, and opposition to Neptune in Pisces. We may receive news, communication, or simply have a thought or idea on how we can improve emotional connections, or our sense of emotional security. We may not have all the facts, and not everyone we deal with is 100 percent honest.  There could also be cognitive blockages, or a refusal to accept (or deal in) reality in some cases, so using our own sense of rational discrimination as much as possible will be wise. Mercury in Cancer isn’t the most rational placement and we tend to do most of our thinking through the emotional centers during this cycle, or our ability to accept or consider certain facts can be very colored by our emotions.

With Mercury conjunct Mars, we may be very driven around securing our positions, and unearthing information that can assist us in that cause.  Inevitably, Mercury will go on to oppose Saturn and Pluto, so it’s possible we may uncover a great deal of rather dysfunctional, or heavy shit that could potentially be extremely uncomfortable. Brace yourselves, and do your best not to be sucked into the dramas or dysfunctions of others, or to go backwards in your own growth and development.  The math ahead won’t be particularly easy, I’m not going to sugar coat it. June and July are in my opinion, the most “whacklesauce” looking months of 2019.  These next 2 months could require some tough decisions, personal accountability, determination, and major self honesty, -but could also produce some amazing and well overdue personal growth from the inside out.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a most triumphant week! See you next Monday!
