ASTROLOGY FOR THE WEEK OF NOV 18-24 2024
MON NOV 18
Welcome to the Mercury shadow phase.
TUES NOV 19
Pluto reenters Aquarius today, leaving Capricorn for the final time in our lifetime at 12:29 PM PST, which coincides with significant shifts. The Sun opposite Uranus invokes peoples independence, while the Moon in Cancer struggles to adapt to unpredictability, change, and unfamiliar situations. A lunar square to Chiron can see some tenderness, raw feelings, and vulnerability in the face of shifting circumstances. As the day wears on, it becomes clear that flexibility and openness to new possibilities is the best way forward. Even Venus in steady Capricorn makes a sesquisquare to Uranus just now, which can be liberating but it also generates tension. Comfort zones are tested as old methods and power dynamics are no longer functional, fulfilling, or sustainable.
WED NOV 20
The Moon enters Leo at 5:51 AM PST, where it conjoins Mars, opposes Pluto, semisquare’s Jupiter, squares Juno, and makes awkward minor tension to Mercury in Sagittarius, -which stations retrograde on the 25. All of this can see some significant tensions and shifts interpersonally and in partnerships, as people grapple with their contrasting needs for independence and getting their needs and desires met. Power dynamics have shifted significantly. Those who have achieved liberation from bound circumstances or entanglements now have to adapt to the pros and cons of their newfound freedom. This can be simultaneously relieving and uncomfortable. Venus in Capricorn makes a sextile to Saturn in Pisces, which can function as an “oh shit” handle that helps people find their way in changeable circumstances.
THURS NOV 21
Today can see some good news and perhaps some healing and honest conversations, as the Moon in Leo is trine Mercury in Sagittarius and sextile Jupiter in Gemini. The Sun enters Sagittarius at 11:56 AM PST, where it’s trine Mars and sextile Pluto. This can see some truths surfacing, and there can be opportunities to air things that may feel risky or controversial, but not everyone will appreciate the alacrity, clarity or potency of your views or disclosures. There may be some shocks, surprises, and changes, and this can be both refreshing and unsettling. There can also be some fortunate alliances formed, but also some tensions to mitigate.
FRI NOV 22
The Moon in late Leo is in minor tension to Venus, square Uranus, and builds a square to the Sun (and eventually Mercury.) Interpersonal, social or financial/resource based tensions can be uncomfortable, and the desire for some stability and assurance amidst a backdrop of chaos, change, uncertainty and volatility can be growing. People can be acting strangely or behaving unpredictably, and there can be a lot to adapt to. The Moon enters Virgo at 3:01 PM PST, which can highlight something that is upsetting to your equilibrium. There can be situations that require adapting to that can be somewhat challenging, but there’s an opportunity to break emotional patterns and routines. Try to be patient and steady within yourself and take the good with the bad. Remind yourself that things could be worse, and be grateful that they’re not.
SAT NOV 23
The Moon is opposite Saturn, which can see a need for patience and resilience in the face of blockages, shortages, delays or frustrations. Fortunately, the Moon also makes a trine to Venus in Capricorn, which can see silver linings and make it easier to count your blessings. There can be at least one person or circumstance that offers a port of stability and assurance, and it can also feel good to exercise discipline, restraint, or to demonstrate personal integrity, honesty, commitment, consistency and follow through. Not that you won’t be faced with temptations, particularly this evening, when the Moon squares Jupiter, but if you can exercise some self control, and avoid taking on too much or becoming overwhelmed, you can reap rewards and become more organized and sturdy in the face of challenges ahead. There will continue to be much to adapt to.
SUN NOV 24
Early this morning can see some frustrations or irritation with the Moon semisquare Mars. Today can see people feeling pretty out of sorts, as the Moon squares Mercury, while trine Uranus and opposite Neptune. There are certain inevitabilities that need to be faced, so do your best to prepare yourself accordingly and try not to overwhelm yourself with too much all at once. Mercury will station retrograde on Monday, so for the next 3 weeks or so, don’t expect everything to go as planned, or to go “as usual.” There will be conversations, ideas, topics, systems, routines, or situations that will need to be revisited, revised, rebooted, reprogrammed, renegotiated, or readjusted. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. The Moon in late Virgo builds a trine to Pluto this evening. Every day routines, health, medicine, food, self care, diet, and even the physical relation with the body and surrounding environment can undergo significant shifts. Partnerships, collaborative efforts, teamwork, and helpful alliances will also experience a sea change. Everyone will need to catch their balance.
