ASTROLOGY FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 29-JULY 5

MONDAY JUN 29.
Today see’s the Moon in late Libra, squaring Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto, as well as aspecting both of the nodes in Sagittarius and Gemini respectively. There may be much information coming in from others and it can be a lot to sort through. With Mars now in Aries, and Venus picking up steam going forward in Gemini, we can be finding our footing and getting ready to take new initiatives. There can be a sense of changes right around the corner. The lunar square to Saturn suggests some interpersonal realities that simply have to be accepted, perhaps some differences in opinion, or just a feeling of not being on the same page with certain others, and we may seek some sort of transformation to avoid stagnation or stalemate. Around 4 PM PST, the Moon heads into instinctual Scorpio, to oppose Uranus, and trine the Sun, and Mercury in Cancer, while squaring Saturn. This can see us geared towards emotional nourishment, revitalization and refreshment. This math looks like a rebellion against repressive, inhibiting, or limiting forces, that is determined to find a way out and through. This can see some interesting or unexpected communications take place, where perhaps taboo or otherwise unconventional, interesting, or hidden topics occupy attention. This can see a need to take new routes or break a pattern, in order to satisfy the desire for more emotional fulfillment. In more general terms, an exploration of the feelings, and the recognition that certain routes lead to a dead end, prompting a need to change course. With Mercury retrograde, this can also bring up emotional memories or old feelings, and offer a new perspective on such things, or a need to deal with certain feelings in new and innovative ways.

TUESDAY JUN 30.
Today see’s the Moon in emotionally intense, secretive Scorpio, trine the Sun and Mercury in Cancer, and opposite Uranus in Taurus. This creates a rich emotional landscape that requires us to forge new paths, or approach certain feelings and instincts in a new way. There can be a certain degree of deep, emotional restlessness that comes with these configurations. With both Venus and Mars in aspect to Saturn, and Saturn preparing to re-enter Capricorn, in some ways it can be back to the drawing board, but there is a focus here on the longterm. Thinking (and feeling) outside of the box somehow, is par for the course today. In the afternoon, the Moon throws in a trine to Neptune, which only increases a penchant for the unusual. There can be a longing here, but also a lot of creativity and imagination. With Mars opposite Juno and conjunct Chiron, there can be certain differences between ourselves and others that have the power to both repel and attract, and can make us keenly aware of our own and others vulnerabilities. Regardless, Mars in Aries is naturally independent and fine to go it’s own way if certain differences prove to be too much to reconcile.  With both Venus and Mars in aspect to Saturn, we can derive a lot from a little, and the expectations of interpersonal interactions are tempered with realism. Venus in Gemini forms a sextile to Chiron today, suggesting a glimmer of hope, and as this aspect strengthens going forward, it can be easier to be understanding of someone else’s struggles, or of the complexity and nuance of other people’s positions. The lunar trine to Neptune brings out compassion, and with the Sun and Mercury both in sextile to Uranus, there is a need to be emotionally and mentally adaptive, and a sort of “expectant” feel, as if we are waiting on news or information, particularly around things rather close to the heart. These aspects are an interesting combination of being emotionally invested but detached at the same time, and both Venus and Mars linking with Saturn illustrates a “wait and see” attitude, it lends patience. This evening closes on a note of emotional and psychic sensitivity, and can be geared towards reflection and quite observation. There may be a lot of psychic impressions to sit with and meditate upon.

WED JULY 1.
This morning begins with the Moon in Scorpio, in a sextile to Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, as well as Saturn, who is getting ready to head back into 29 degrees of Capricorn early this evening. Lunar trines to Neptune in Pisces and Mars in Aries can create a subtly energizing but somewhat “adrift” energy. Impulses and feeling is there, but it’s softened by Neptunes dreaminess and mystery. A desire for something that feels impossible in some instances, at least for the time being. Minor lunar tensions with the Sun and Mercury in Cancer color the morning hours with intense or vivid feelings, but perhaps feeling torn around self expression and how to even direct the energy current. It’s the kind of energy that writes a tweet or a reply but then deletes it, feeling unsure about how we may be interpreted or potentially misconstrued. We might just feel slightly unsure about how we’re coming across with Mercury retrograde in emotionally oriented Cancer. There’s a sort of instinctual longing that “just can’t get no satisfaction” to these configurations, and though it isn’t necessarily unpleasant, certain vague feelings can be difficult to pin point or fulfill. Mars in Aries is anxious to get after whatever it wants, Neptune can keep certain things just out of reach, but there is a lovely admixture of passion and compassion, self interest and self sacrifice. With the Moon in harmonious contact to Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto, and Saturn about to reach the most urgent degree of the pragmatic, results oriented sign of Capricorn, there can be a desire for turning a new, transformative page, and focusing ones energy upon realizable goals that can help to lend a sense of meaning, structure, and steady progress. In the afternoon, as the Moon reaches the final degrees of Scorpio, it makes an opposition to Venus in Gemini, bringing emphasis on expanding our interpersonal horizons, and getting more space, adventure, and freedom to explore outside our usual reference points. Around 5 PM PST, the Moon reaches 29 degrees Scorpio, right as Saturn reaches 29 degrees Capricorn. This see’s an interesting turning point with a lot of energy behind it, with the Moon trine Mars in Aries, opposite Venus in Gemini, and sextile Saturn in 29 degrees Cap. This sets the stage where we may grow discontent or restless with longing after the impossible or the unobtainable, and desire something more immediate, concrete, realistic, and realizable, and will broaden our horizons, perspective, and scope of thinking to fulfill this quest to see “what/who else or is out there” that could fit this bill. It’s a bit of inspiration seeking, but with Mars in Aries sextile Saturn in Cap, we want reality. We want IRL. Something tangible, solid, that can be touched and held in the hand, sturdy and reliable. Weary of the wishy washy hangover we’re getting over from the Venus retrograde, while also in the thralls of a Mercury retrograde in Cancer, can see us putting a new spin on old emotional patterns, and the upcoming Full Moon eclipse in Capricorn will mark a shedding of the skin. The Moon enters Sagittarius around 7 PM this evening, seeing the evening hours take on an adventurous, philosophical and curious note. We can be driven by varying degrees of compelling and repelling qualities regarding interpersonal differences, and curious to explore what (or who) fits, or where we fit in, in regards to others. With Venus in Gemini, there are choices. For some it is a case of opposites attracting, and learning through contrast, and what may irritate us about a person may also just as equally fascinate. But with Saturn now in 29 degrees Capricorn, and Mars in the first degrees of Aries, we want our enthusiasms to go towards something that offers real, actual results. "What do we want? Results! When do we want it? Now!"

THURSDAY JULY 2.
Today see’s the Moon in truth seeking Sagittarius opposite Venus in curious Gemini, and trine Chiron in Aries. This can see a lot of learning through contrasts. Pleasure is derived, and morale is boosted from expansion of knowledge. Later the Moon goes on to square Neptune, which can see confusion, subversion, or deceptive elements. Perhaps just a desire to retreat and reflect, and escape through self soothing pastimes. There might also be a sense of disillusionment for some, or simply a feeling that there is still a lot to learn. Clarity is hard to locate when Neptune is involved under tense aspects. Equally, this can undermine the ability to spread truth and knowledge, and it can become apparent that it’s being deliberately obscured. With Venus in communicative Gemini’s sextile, and Mercury retrograde in Cancer’s square to Mars in assertive warrior Aries, there is a push to accumulate and disperse knowledge in spite of obstacles. With all of the aspects to Chiron, it’s clear that sensitivity is a factor, and personal, subjective biases can create a cognitive block and defensiveness towards new information (Mercury in Cancer square Mars/ Chiron in Aries.) The evening looks somewhat low-key, with the lunar square to Neptune dominating the scene, it can be a case of “I don’t know what or who to believe.” A good time to challenge any cognitive biases and expand awareness.

THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY JULY 3.
Today begins with the Moon in Sagittarius squaring up to Neptune. The Sun and Mercury retro in Cancer sextile Uranus stand out to me as particularly poignant, and can be shocking people awake, and making some people feel somewhat uncomfortable with their simultaneous squares to Chiron. The Pluto/Saturn/Jupiter conjunction is also especially active, suggesting some rather intense turning points, and there will certainly be some inevitable reckonings to face coming down the pike and potential abuses of power to deal with, as both the Sun and Mercury will go on to oppose Pluto. A lunar sesquisquare to Uranus midmorning can be enlightening, as the Moon in truth seeking Sagittarius attempts to blast through it’s square to tricksy, evasive, and deceptive Neptune. There can be a lot to reflect upon, with some shocks and surprises along the way, but the Sagittarius lunation is eager to learn and hungry for knowledge and truth. Early evening see’s tensions begin to build, with a lunar square to Mars in Aries and an opposition to Mercury retrograde in Cancer. This may be simultaneously energizing and frustrating, and there can be an uphill battle to try and get your ideas across or be understood, without provoking controversy. The Moon in late Sagittarius, at it’s most impatient degree, can be rather overzealous and even religious in it’s conviction and enthusiasm, so it may be wise to avoid contentious issues and save them for another time as we build up to a full Moon in serious Capricorn, so that nothing regrettable is said that can’t be taken back. Around 10 PM PST, the Moon heads into stoic, inhibited, and reserved Capricorn. The square to Mars in Aries and opposition to Mercury in emotional Cancer can make us feel somewhat curtailed and limited in our expression and in the scope of our actions. There may be certain people we want to talk to but feel like we can’t, or certain topics we want to broach but feel like we mustn’t. Venus in Gemini’s sextile to Mars and Chiron in Aries suggests that diplomacy and keeping things light are the key to handling any differences or navigating any frustrating cognitive blockages or communication difficulties. This is important, as the tensions are thick, and the full moon can see us coming across more intense than we may intend. Sensitivity is high, but with a brusque lunar square to Mars, along with Mercury squaring Mars,- so is insensitivity. So it’s important to lean on the side of caution when discussing any contentious issues that might lead to misunderstanding, as with Mercury retrograde in the sign ruled by the moon, logic isn’t a strong suit right now, and people may be apt to take things very personally or view things through a strictly subjective lens. Cognitive defenses may be rather high, so it isn’t the best time to try to get through to anyone who is determined to misunderstand or dismiss you. On the other hand, when left to their own devices and not pressed, people may surprise you by thinking outside the box and willfully venturing outside their comfort zone in pursuit of illumination, independently on their own accord. Have a little faith, and people may surprise you. Tomorrows full moon will certainly bring a touch of the unpredictable and perhaps some unexpected surprises or rebelliousness.

SATURDAY JULY 4.

Today see’s the Full Moon eclipse in Capricorn, opposite the Sun and Mercury in Cancer, square Mars and Chiron in Aries, and trine Uranus in Taurus. These configurations illustrate the power of authority to curtail and silence speech, and inhibit action, but it also illustrates innovative ways around such blockages, with the Moon trine Uranus. There can be a somewhat irritable restlessness to these configurations, and a feeling of being blocked, regarding actions one would like to take. This also impacts communications. There are many sensitive and “hot button issues” highlighted here, with the Sun, Moon, and Mercury all squaring up to Chiron, the wounded healer. It’s clear that certain topics that must and should be talked about, upset another faction that prefers these matters not be discussed or addressed. The Sun and Mercury squaring up to Mars puts a lot of willpower and force behind communications, and there is a push to get a particular message out, in spite of resistance. The Moon and Mercury’s aspects to rebellious Uranus refuses to comply or submit, and bucks the authoritarian trends and gives them plenty of pushback. Later on in the evening, the Moon conjoins Jupiter and Pluto, and in the wee hours of tomorrow will conjoin Saturn as well. A powerful message get’s through via unconventional means, or something unexpected or surprising is revealed that makes impact. It may not go down well with everyone, and in particular, the “powers that be” may feel put on the spot somehow as they may be overplaying their hand. The Mercury/Mars square emphasizes a “war of information” or a war of words. Venus in Gemini helps keep things civil, and is able to finesse around blockages. This also highlights the ability to get information through via the arts or entertainment, or otherwise, mere cleverness. The Venus sextile to Mars and Chiron indicates the power of information and words to heal. It’s clear here that certain information or certain voices are being deliberately repressed, but where there is a will, there’s a way.

SUNDAY JULY 5.
After yesterday’s eclipse, controversy, and surprising revelations, this morning see’s the Moon in stoic, realistic Capricorn opposite the Sun in Cancer, conjunct Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, and sextile Neptune. This can see a focus on spiritual matters, and there can be compassion and sensitivity in the air, but an air of seriousness as well. A pleasant escapism can be highlighted here, along with resilience amidst otherwise subtly demoralizing, or overly serious, weighty concerns. With the Sun also trine to Neptune, we can be highly attuned to and sensitive to the environment. Venus continues to try to absolve the tensions between Mercury and Mars, and reduce friction between opposing factions, or disparate viewpoints. The Pluto/Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn is powerfully active, indicating key turning points and transformations, and a certain inevitability, where certain facts and realities are really just unavoidable and impossible to ignore. The Sun in Cancer goes on to oppose Jupiter this evening, and this aspect can see a growing restlessness as it plays out, with many big ideals, a desire to make something concrete happen that brings more emotional fulfillment, but the trick is to stay focused, and find a balance between stability and the widening of our horizons. This aspect can also see a certain cognitive dissonance, where emotional attachments are weighed against hard facts with evidence to back up it's claims. The grand conjunction in Capricorn can highlight a desire to make big changes. I've named this configuration "'Tegrity (TM)", because Capricorn/Saturn is representative of realism, and of dealing in a based reality-(Something that has been heavily undermined, particularly during Venus' backward motion.) There will be another intensification of bullshit and deception to deal with, particularly from the 3rd week of July, when Venus will once again square up to Neptune. We went through this before, so we can have a sort of heads up, so that when it begins to happen, we can roll our eyes and say "Here we go again". Simplifying things as much as possible can help with forming workable plans.

ASTROLOGY FOR THE WEEK OF 22-28 JUNE 2020.

MON JUN 22.
Today begins with the Moon in Cancer conjunct Mercury, trine Mars and Neptune in Pisces, and opposite Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn. Later this lunar opposition extends to Saturn. This can see us feeling things out, perhaps sitting on some intense feelings or unable to stop thinking about something. There could be a desire to initiate some kind of communication, but equally a passive shyness (Mars/Neptune in Pisces), that tends to fantasize and get stuck on imaginary scenarios and infinite “what if’s”. The lunar oppositions to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn can also amplify and exaggerate feelings. Where the Mars/Pluto sextile left off, the Moon/Pluto opposition endeavors to push to some sort of transformation or completion. Today is a comfort seeking type of energy that emphasizes self nurturing. The passions are pleasantly stimulated with the lunar trine to Mars. With Mercury Rx in Cancer squaring up to Chiron, there’s a risk averseness that tends towards playing it safe, and the Cancer lunation/Solar eclipse may have required a lot of self restraint for some, or extra effort against acting on some pretty intense, fantastical, or compulsive feelings. Mercury square Chiron creates a hesitancy and self protectiveness. This week see’s a lot of planetary movement that will help pick things up. Neptune stations retrograde this evening. Venus will station direct on Wednesday, which is a blessing in and of itself, and in Gemini this can help resolve tensions and open up channels of communication that may have been slowed down by misunderstandings, confusion, or poor timing.

TUESDAY JUN 23.
Today see’s the Moon in playful and creative Leo, sextile Venus in Gemini, trine Mars in late Pisces, and Chiron in Aries, opposite Saturn in Aquarius, and square Uranus in Taurus. This can see an inclination towards bold risks, breakthroughs, and livening things up to bring more vitality and joy de vive into life. It’s a fun, lighthearted, and flirtatious type of energy, that can pick up the spirits, but the lunar opposition to Saturn suggests that timing could perhaps be better for one reason or another, as there can be obstacles or challenges in the way that need to be dealt with or simply endured. Regardless, this can be a lively and exciting energy that can see some unexpected interpersonal developments, and definitely a lot of creative inspiration. The impulse is definitely there, even if circumstances don't necessarily support it's outward expression. It’s an erratic energy that for some can see a restless pursuit of excitement, or simply a restlessness with constraints or less than optimal circumstances. Mars in the last degrees of Pisces makes a sextile to Saturn in Aquarius and has it’s eye set on a goal. By this weekend, it will enter assertive Aries, where it will no longer be content to be passive. The Leo lunation shakes things up out of any doldrums or stagnation just in time for Venus’ direct station tomorrow. As if to say, “Things are going to be different and better going forward.” There can be more courage available under the Leo lunation, even in the face of the Sun and Mercury both squaring up to Chiron. In the very least, it’s the impulse to build courage wherever it may be lacking. There’s a challenge there for sure, maybe some insecurity or fear, or some other obstacle or challenge that causes us to be aware of pain or weakness, but both Mars and Venus have their eye on a prize or some future goal.

WEDNSDAY JUN 24.
Today see’s the Moon in Leo void of course, although Mercury in Cancer sextile Uranus, bringing a fresh impulse through a surprising communication or thought. This could see a circling back around of a missed opportunity, a solution to a problem, or just a new spin on something old. There could be some sort of revelation, or we could take a risk expressing ourselves, or have surprising communications. At least dipping our toes in the water somehow, as with the Sun/Mercury square to Chiron, there’s that protectiveness there that can make us second guess everything we say and do, or are thinking about saying and doing. This is a tough one, there could be some challenges to navigate that maybe make us feel "weaker" than normal, but building courage requires taking risks, even if just tiny ones. Venus will station direct tonight at 11:48 PM PST. This is great news for everyone. It may take a week or two for it to really pick up steam, but at least it’ll be progressing forward again. This in and of itself is worthy of celebrating. Things tend to get the most challenging or messy right at the direct or retrograde station of a planet, so whatever comes up, consider this an opportunity to "get it together" and resolve it. For some it can be something that's long needed attention or addressing. Also good news is that this time around, once Venus makes the demoralizing square to Neptune like it did before, it won’t be quite so bad, as Neptune Rx is much weaker, and Venus is direct. We won’t have to worry about that aspect again until the 3rd week of July, so we’ve got a nice reprieve and an opportunity to sort of get our bearings, feel things out, and build our courage.

THURSDAY JUN 25.
This morning begins with the Moon in the last degrees of Leo, making some minor aspects to Saturn, Mars, and Mercury, which can see some subtle irritability, grouchiness, or restlessness. Then the Moon heads into practical but anxious Virgo, to sextile the Sun in Cancer and square Venus in Gemini. This can highlight a seed that was planted at the New Moon/Solar eclipse in Cancer last weekend, and whatever is going on here, the feelings are very involved. Virgo emphasizes health, details, routines, diet, fitness, and crisis management. This can see us geared to make improvements that intend to make us feel more comfortable. This sets a tone for a spontaneous, perhaps somewhat busy Friday. There can be tendencies towards perfectionism as the Virgo lunation tends to zoom in on flaws, (either our own or others.) The square to Venus emphasizes relationships with others, and there can be a sort of preparatory or planning phase going on here, or a need to get everything “just right”, which can be frustrating when there’s a desire to be spontaneous and uninhibited. There may be certain "basics" in life that interfere or clash with enjoyment or relations to others somehow, as the Virgo lunation is all about handling your business, and getting practical necessities out of the way. This can be a somewhat high strung, restless energy, with both the Moon and Venus in analytical, Mercurial signs, we can be reading way too much into things or getting anxious around communications, perhaps this lunation stokes off a desire to improve communications, and work out some bugs. Trying to strike a balance between saying what we feel in a way that doesn’t threaten our sense of comfort or security (Sun/Mercury in Cancer), while still getting our point across, could factor into these configurations. This can be about distilling whatever feelings we’ve been sitting on into bite sized, sharable chunks that can help us steer things into the direction our instincts want us to go in, and open up new possibilities. The lunar/Venus square can make it harder to share feelings, but the desire is there. There’s just a lot of anxiousness around doing that, and probably just much more pressing matters to attend to. Later on a lunar trine to Uranus can bring about some positive, perhaps unexpected developments, perhaps a push to take modest risks, or some sort of innovative approach to a health/diet/or routine issue. This can help free us up from caring so much about what others think, and adds a “fuck it” flavor to the otherwise anxious, worry wart, Virgo lunation. It's possible we could feel liberated by achieving a small, practical breakthrough, and this could have health perks. Something "basic" yet long overlooked is being addressed, transformed, and overhauled.

THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY JUN 26.
Today see’s the Moon in Virgo, sextile Mercury in Cancer (for the first part of the morning), trine Uranus in Taurus, and opposite Neptune in Pisces. It goes on to trine Pluto and Jupiter as well. This weekend could see some pleasant changes to routine, or a deviation from the norm begin to take hold. Perhaps a conversation or news received got some stagnant energy moving and made it possible to finally make some progress around something. The lunar opposition to Neptune indicates a draw towards the unusual, a tendency to idealize, or a fretting over unknowns, fears, increasing the tendency towards worry, idealization, fantasy, dreaminess, and imagination. A minor lunar aspect to Saturn can be somewhat inhibiting in the first part of the day, giving things a sort of "serious" or "business" tone. Everybody has to do whatever they have to do. There can be an instinctual, mysterious draw or pull towards something or someone, or to make something happen, and Mars in the final degree of Pisces is preparing to make some kind of move or take some sort of initiative. This energy is clearly building up to something, and there’s a lot of momentum behind it, as if it's been a long time coming. The Virgo lunation is a sort of “getting your shit together” vibe, perhaps in preparation for something. It emphasizes healing, recovery, diet, routine, regimens, and all of the basics.

SATURDAY JUN 27.
Today begins with the Moon in late Virgo, opposite Mars at 29 degrees Pisces, trine Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto. There is definitely a very concerted push towards something, and a carrot at the end of a stick motivating us. Mars at it’s most impatient degree is anxious to get something started, -and get something over with. Afternoon see’s the Moon enter partnership oriented Libra to trine Venus, and square the Sun in Cancer. Why does this look so intense? I mean it’s not "bad" looking, …but DAMN. It could just be indicative of someone going through a rough time, emotionally or otherwise, but there is support and assurance there, a light at the end of the tunnel, a reassuring presence, (Moon/Venus). Whatever the case, the emotions are prominently involved or activated, there’s definitely some strong feels going on here that are driving things. Maybe circumstances are pushing some people to their limits or stretching them emotionally. Mars enters assertive and passionate Aries at 6:45 PM PST, and the dam doth breaketh. Lunar trines to both Venus and Saturn suggests that a lot of waiting, patience, and endurance has been involved. These trines also serve to help tone Mars down a little bit because boy howdy, lemmie tell ya, Mars is excited as all hell to be in Aries, and is screaming, “FINALLY!!! MY TIME HAS COME!! OPEN THE GATE! I'M READY TO ROCK! GET OUT THE WAY!” So... the polite lunar trines to Venus and Saturn can help civilize this transition so Mars doesn’t go full BEAST MODE right out the gate, like a dog that’s been left in a house alone for way too long. Otherwise, it’s prone to get way too overexcited. This math speaks of something that’s been waited for, for a really, really long time, with Venus and Mars both in aspect to Saturn, and the lunar trines to Venus and Saturn. Something about this math say’s that patience, responsibility, maturity, and endurance has paid off, or will. Later in the evening, the Moon squares Mercury Rx in Cancer, which can see some communication glitches, or perhaps see us torn with how much to share with someone, or whether it’s safe or even in our best interests to open up. There’s definitely a desire to, but Mercury’s backward motion in Cancer squaring up to Chiron can have us thinking about “what happened the last time we tried to do that", or thinking about past grievances, shoulda-coulda wouldas, or bad memories. When in doubt, slow down. This can be a good opportunity to heal certain fears around communications, and bring more balance to certain dynamics.

SUNDAY JUN 28.
Today see’s the Moon in relationship oriented Libra, square the Sun and Mercury in Cancer, trine Venus, and opposite Chiron in Aries. This can see some talks happening that can smooth things out or get people on the same page, as it's possible people definitely aren't on the same page. There’s a will to harmonize, balance, and cooperate present, with the Moon conjunct Juno in Libra. The opposition to Chiron suggests everyone needs to strike a balance between their own needs, and their need for collaboration or companionship with others, as something could be at odds here and be a source of misunderstanding or gripes. Later, the Moon squares Jupiter and Pluto, this can indicate some major changes or transformations happening, particularly interpersonally. There can be some big feelings around this, some intense undercurrents. Mars also forms a conjunction to Chiron in Aries, an aspect that will build in strength over time. This sets off an interesting journey that seems to be geared towards healing old wounds or blows to confidence. Mars is humbled by Chiron, as Mars in Aries can sometimes be too self serving in the way it goes after whatever it wants. Chiron asks Mars to be more compassionate, sensitive, and empathetic towards others this time around. The lesson of Mars conjunct Chiron is also one of being strong enough to be able to be vulnerable with others. It can also highlight issues around being assertive or taking the initiative with others in some way. Because Mars will also retrograde in Aries, this can see some kind or reflection or reconfiguration around how we go about achieving our desires, as well as healing our feelings of worthiness around achieving those desires. Believing we are truly good enough and worthy of what we desire. A journey of confidence building and healing old wounds to our ability to initiate and take actions that require bravery, vulnerability, and courage. It’s possible we desire something that simultaneously activates our deepest vulnerabilities or triggers some deep wounds. Perhaps there’s something about what we desire that scares the shit out of us and challenges us to heal and grow out of a comfort zone, because we've got to make ourselves a little bit vulnerable in order to actually get it.

ASTROLOGY FOR WEEK OF JUNE-15-21 2020.

ASTROLOGY FOR WEEK OF JUNE-15-21 2020.

MONDAY JUN 15.
Monday see’s the Moon in Aries, sextile the Sun in Gemini, and square Mercury in Cancer and Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn. The Sun in Gemini square to Mars in Pisces can cast a loopy, surreal, distractible light over things. The lunar square to Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto, places emphasis on impulsive, (or compulsive) communications or thinking, that can see certain incoming or outgoing communications or information received that has amplified impact.

It’s possible too for there to be fixatations on something (or someone), or several somethings (or someones,) and the mental and emotional energy is amplified or intensified in some way. Some people might be replaying certain scenarios or conversations over and over, the lunar square to Pluto can see certain fixations or compulsions, and can also see people act on impulse or instinct. It can be a fiery, passionate energy, somewhat subdued or confused by the planets in sensitive, deeply impressionable water signs.

The lunar links to Jupiter and Pluto can lend a somewhat passionate, inward reflection for some, maybe even a compulsive self analysis, or an examination of incoming and outgoing stimuli, as the Sun in Gemini spotlights communications, while Mars in Pisces blurs boundaries, mystifies, and confuses.  Certainly interesting times, that can even confuse the drive and the will itself. The Moon in Aries wants to add life and vitality to things, and Pluto beckons into taboo territory, and alludes to the lure of the hidden, the buried, the forbidden, and the deeper machinations and implications behind things. Certain power dynamics can be amplified between self and others. In the very least, it’s a powerful vibe in the atmosphere that lends an instinctual intensity and mysteriousness to the day that can almost be somewhat disorienting. The Sun and Venus Rx in Gemini can see a lot going on, and a lot to pay attention to. It’s a highly mental, cerebral energy that can require pockets of tranquility or undisturbed serenity to reflect upon information, news, communications given or received.

TUESDAY JUN 16.
Today begins with the Moon in down to earth, sensual Taurus conjunct Uranus and square Saturn in unconventional Aquarius. With Venus in Gemini trine Saturn, this can highlight a lot of interpersonal changes, and the lunar conjunction to Uranus can see some surprising developments. Perhaps a desire to shake up existing routines, or begin a process of setting new ones in place. There can be some low key excitement at certain changes or surprises, although the square to Saturn through the earlier part of today can see issues of certain things being slow going or poor timing. This eases up as we head closer to evening. It’s possible there’s just a lot of changes going on all at once, and certain surprises or unexpected developments may take a moment to adjust to. Mercury will station retrograde tomorrow in the sign of emotional Cancer. This could see certain conversations revisited, or previous ideas that may have been temporarily or otherwise, shelved, stalled, delayed, forgotten, or abandoned. Mercury heading backward under the Taurus lunation suggests that much that is unexpected comes up for reconsideration, reflection, or revision. Tomorrow may see some surprising news, communications, or exchanges that can expand horizons, or generally boost morale or be beneficial in some other way.

WEDNSDAY JUN 17.
Today see’s the Moon in easy going Taurus conjunct Uranus and sextile Mercury in emotionally sensitive Cancer. This can see some unexpected but pleasing communications, or bursts of inspiration and insight. Mid morning see’s the Moon trine Pluto, and it goes on to trine Jupiter and sextile Neptune, so it’s possible that whatever comes up inspires transformation and can see a desire to change things for the better. Mars also making harmonious aspect to Pluto can see a rather intense undercurrent or pull towards something. It isn’t unpleasant, but there can be an element of inevitability here, a strong, unavoidable current or pull that creates a compulsive quality, and there can be something deeply unconscious and instinctual about why we’re doing whatever we’re doing, or drawn towards whatever or whoever we’re drawn towards, or why certain things or people are drawn towards us. There can also be some impactful synchronicities. This is excellent energy for making some positive transformations and getting organized, but there’s also a creative and mystical twist to whatever is occurring that can see high hopes and ideals stoked, and a lot of inspiration to go around. Mercury stations retrograde in Cancer at 9:59 PM PST tonight. Evening time see’s the Moon sextile Mars in Pisces, which can add a subtly energizing oomph to inspiring trends. There can be a lot of impressions to gather with the Sun in talkative, multitasking Gemini square Mars in etheric, passive Pisces. The Taurus lunation has sought to make things more interesting, and it looks like it’s succeeding. There’s a mysteriousness afoot, and the imagination can be very stimulated this evening. Things will come up for reconsideration or a second look during this retrograde cycle.

THURSDAY JUN 18.
This morning begins with the Moon in late Taurus, forming aspects to Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto. This can see some enrichment come into our lives via interpersonal exchanges, and certain changes unfolding can widen our lens on the world a bit and have long term implications. Mercury, now retrograde, squares Chiron in Aries, and this can illuminate areas where we may be guarded or there can be a need to build confidence, and avoid jumping to worst case scenario conclusions regarding communications, or a reactionary defensiveness. There can be an element of self protectiveness here. The afternoon see’s the Moon shift into talkative and curious Gemini, to trine Juno in Libra, emphasizing a focus on pleasure and enjoyment through communication with those in our local environs or short trips. This can see enjoyable connections being formed that are based on shared interests, hobbies, or values, and it can be nice to get a conversation going. The link to Saturn in Aquarius can show something unconventional and refreshing about this, and emphasize the potential for milage regarding projects, friendships, or relationships. It could be some people are just looking at something or someone in a new way or seeing potential that was previously not considered. There’s a highly experimental vibe to all of this, and considering we now have both Mercury and Venus retrograde, there can be opportunities to take a second or third look at something, (but there’s also the potential for miscommunications, misunderstandings, or glitches along the way.) That being said, it pays to take your time in forming conclusions, and try your best to go with the flow and avoid reactionary behavior, as it can take a while for the confusion and changeability of previous weeks and months to settle. A good time to intentionally slow things down. This energy can see the foundations of something beginning to form, and with a New Moon in Cancer on Saturday coinciding with the Summer Solstice, a seed can be planted.

THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY JUN 19.
The weekend kicks off with the emphasis on communications, with the Moon in busy and talkative Gemini conjunct Venus, trine Juno, and sextile Chiron in Aries. This can be somewhat pleasant and uplifting, and can see certain talks, interactions, or exchanges with others, either via text or in our local environment bringing a sense of enjoyment, stimulation, and subtle boost in morale and confidence. Mars in Pisces making sextile to Jupiter, Pluto, and conjunction to Neptune may have seen some highly unusual, fated feeling occurrences this week, and a sort of inexplicable inevitability about what’s been unfolding. Towards evening, the Moon in Gemini squares Neptune, which can see some bemusement or confusion, which can see the evening take on an imaginative, dreamy, spaced out and escapist tone, but can be highly creative. It may take some time to wrap our heads around certain strange happenings, particularly regarding interactions.

SATURDAY JUN 20.
Today see’s the Moon in Gemini square Mars and Neptune in Pisces, emphasizing the Sun’s square to Mars in Pisces, as well as Mars’ aspects to Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto. This is a generally bemused energy, and we may not understand what’s driving our own or others behavior, but simultaneously can’t seem to escape certain pulls, curiosities, or compulsions. With the Mars link to Pluto, something might have a subtle hold on us and it might be hard to figure out why. There might be an urge to communicate something, but maybe hard to know what to say. Mars in Pisces is rather shy, passive, and indirect, so there could be a certain passivity and inward reflection to the day, a drive to retreat into oneself and seek peace and quiet perhaps. But a whole lot of thinking and feeling is going on. There’s plenty of stimulation for the imaginative and creative faculties. Moon square Mars can also be somewhat frazzled, impatient, easily irritated or emotionally reactionary. There can be a bit of “loneliness” to this aspect, but there’s also plenty of energy to be channeled into creative or expressive activities. The Moon heads into Cancer in the final hours of the evening, placing the emphasis on seeking comfort and familiarity. The New Moon in Cancer occurs at 11:41 PM PST, squaring Chiron and conjunct Mercury Rx in Cancer. This can highlight a desire to communicate the feelings on the one hand, but also a guardedness, vulnerability, and self protectiveness on the other.

SUNDAY JUN 21.
Still reeling from the energetic impulses of the new moon/ Solar eclipse at zero degrees of the Crab, today see's the Moon at home in nurturing homebody Cancer, conjunct Mercury Rx, square Chiron and Juno, and sextile Uranus in Taurus. This can see some emotional and physical restlessness and pronounced desire for change. Unexpected communications can occur, or spontaneous, instinctual or compulsive feelings can seek expression. Perhaps we take a risk and challenge ourselves, or someone else does. It’s possible what ensues is surprising and maybe we don’t know quite how to react. Things can be keeping us on our toes and require quick thinking and innovation. There is definitely something new or experimental about whatever’s happening, and it’s possible this places us in new, untried territory. Timing could be off, with both Mercury and Venus rewinding, so things may take patience to get off the ground. But these impulses  may challenge us out of a comfort zone that maybe we’ve become a little too accustomed to. Sometimes change can feel intimidating or threatening. This can see some surprising things revealed, and even if there’s some indications of feeling subtly challenged, it seems to be in a good way, that we’ve needed in order to break out of any ruts we may have been in. It could actually be really refreshing. Later in the evening, the Moon makes a trine to Neptune, that may see a desire to retreat into a reflective shell in order to reflect on certain happenings and get more in touch with the instincts.

ASTROLOGY FOR THE 8th-14th OF JUNE.

MONDAY JUN 8.
Today begins with the Moon in Capricorn, in minor tension to Venus rx in Gemini, and conjunct Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto. The Sun squaring Mars and Neptune in Pisces can bring attention to power and powerlessness, and power dynamics in general. There can be some imbalances here, where some people feel able to call the shots, while others feel at the mercy of those shots. Everyone should take care to avoid being manipulated, as well as to avoid disempowering narrative, speech, or framing, as there are those who would gladly prey upon that. These configurations can produce a powerful drive towards creative, constructive efforts at transformation and change, and there can be a rather serious tone to the day, so taking extra effort to try and lighten things up and not take everything so seriously, and draw upon wry, Saturnian humor can be helpful, because the Capricorn lunation does indicate that it’s time to take something more seriously and face particular facts. Humor helps facts go down a lot easier. It’s tension with Mercury over the weekend may have made it difficult to handle certain things, and challenging to be on the same page as others, as the frank, “just the facts ma’am” nature of the Capricorn moon clashed with the more emotion-centric thinking of Mercury. For some, this made reality feel like a cold, harsh place, as facts clashed with feelings, or timing was just “off”. Today can see hard work or effort towards something, or some other constructive impulse, produce interesting, and beneficial results. So if you get an urge to do something that could be worthwhile over time, follow it. It’s a pensive and serious energy that isn’t the warmest or most disarming or snuggly, but it gets the job done, and there’s plenty of dry sarcasm and satire available. Evening sees the Moon move into intellectual and detached reformer Aquarius, to trine Venus in Gemini and square Uranus in Taurus. This can see a rather detached energy, but with the potential for pleasant diversions or surprises. There’s a potential for shocks or the unexpected, but also the ability to absorb them, innovate, and adapt. There can also be a pleasant and sort of playful restlessness, possibly even slightly high strung/nervous energy. Interactions that provide space and freedom, and allow us to just be ourselves can provide pleasure and upliftment. This is particularly the case for interactions that provide intellectual stimulation, or where shared humanitarian values, visions, or causes are present. This lunation can bring out the social justice activist in people, and is less earthy, less emotional, and more detached. It’s less about the personal, and is more about the collective in Aquarius. Meetings and exchanges, and even attractions, can be fleeting, possibly somewhat destabilizing, but shake things up in a positive way. Aquarius also rules the internet, and this can see people deriving pleasure from being more active and engaging more with others through this medium, and sharing, dispersing, and discussing information.

TUESDAY JUN 9.
Today see’s the Moon in futuristic, and social justice oriented Aquarius, trine Venus Rx in Gemini, Juno in Libra, square Uranus in Taurus, and sextile Chiron in Aries. Later a lunar trine to the Sun in Gemini can highlight thoughts and communications even more. There’s a detachment here that for the time being can keep things somewhat surface level, and there can be a general “chatty Kathy” vibe, with a lot of incoming and outgoing communications. The focus is more on the plight of the collective than on personal concerns, as Aquarius is the revolutionary of the zodiac. People can be hard to pin down under Venus in Gemini, and the lunar square to Neptune can make them hard to figure out, but there is a lot of compassion and psychic downloads to take in, and communications and intellect is poppin. It’s best to try and take things lightly, and not read too much into things, as Venus here can be somewhat flighty, easily distracted, curious, and somewhat superficial, not wanting to really tie itself down to one post or delve too deeply into one thing or person, and the Aquarius vibe can see us focused on broader social issues, and seeking cerebral nourishment, truth, clarity and consciousness resonance. There can be a bit of a ‘distancing’ happening with the lunar square to Uranus, more politicized than personal, and it’s possible some people are trying to assimilate some things and figure out the best way to communicate certain thoughts or feelings. Very mentally stimulating atmosphere, that's for sure. Lots of synchronicity. Perhaps even psychic experiences or pre-cog. The best way to handle these configurations is to enjoy what is, make the best of what is, -and expect nothing. There can be a bit of an “anticipatory”, liberating, and experimental energy here, but when the Moon hits emo Pisces, you don’t want to be on the receiving end of disillusionment or disappointment. Todays energy can be somewhat of a nervous and squirrelly kind, though not entirely unpleasant. It can be very creative, spontaneous, and innovative.

WEDNSDAY JUN 10th.
Today begins with the Moon still in unpredictable, and detached Aquarius trine the Sun in communicative Gemini. This can see a whole lot of talking and theorizing, a whole lot of experimentation and conjecture. The spotlight can be on new, futuristic and radical ideas, and an unpredictable, “anything can happen” , “nothing is too weird at this point” sort of atmosphere. All kinds of ideas can be on the table, and Saturn eventually trecking back into Capricorn for a long spell will put certain experiments, and “too weird for TV” ideas under the scrutiny and tests of reality. Whether certain ideas are too far ahead of their time to be successful, only time will tell, but some weird shit is certainly being brought to the table, discussed and examined. The Sun squaring Mars and Neptune in Pisces can make some people feel like they’re being dragged along for a ride and are powerless to stop it. There is a weakness and even dependency to the Sun/Mars/Neptune configuration, as if any protest to the flow of certain events, or vocalization of discontent about whatever is unfolding, just goes into a void. When Mars moves into Aries however, the sign that it naturally rules, the sleeping giant will awaken, and passive aggression can turn into more overt displays of force and self defense. Mars will spend the rest of the year in Aries once it gets there, due to a Mars retrograde. I can guarantee a lot of people are going to buy guns this year, including people that have never bought them before, and global militaries will be flexing hard. A lunar sesquisquare to Mercury in Cancer this evening can see some tensions, perhaps over detachment on the one hand, and a desire to connect emotionally on the other. This can play out interpersonally (someone wanting more closeness/connection, while another evades that or remains independent and up in their head. It can even manifest as merely an inner conflict within ourselves. Thinking before we speak and trying to remain sensitive to others while still being authentic within ourselves will make it easier to avoid becoming frustrated in our attempts to get our point across.

THURSDAY JUN 11.
Today see’s the Moon in sensitive Pisces, squaring up to Venus in Gemini, which can create a somewhat wistful, longing, imaginative energy. This can be great for creativity and dreaming, but interpersonally it’s prone to fantasy, pining, and a tendency to focus on what’s missing, or feelings of sadness, loss, or futility. Conversely, it can be very compassionate and even clairvoyant. Producing feelings of oneness, presence and connectedness, even at great distances, physically, verbally, psychically, and/or emotionally. A lunar sextile to Uranus and a trine to Mercury in Cancer can bring some unexpected communications, insight, or news. We may just experience an intuitive “hunch” about something. If you feel a nudge to reach out and communicate to someone, follow it. There can be some surprising discussions that can be revelatory and things can become pretty impassioned with a late night lunar conjunction to Mars. Although, Mars is in Pisces, so this passion can be rather subdued, and dealt with passively, as Pisces really doesn’t like to upset tranquility and prefers peace, and conflict avoidance. Nonetheless, emotions and psychic impressions can be full force, and very powerful. A desire to seek quietude to explore emotions or discuss them privately with a trusted other, or try to convey certain feelings to someone, can accompany these configurations. There can also be increased impressionability, and people may come with emotional arguments. Boundaries may be less defined under the Pisces lunation. There can be some unexpected things revealed.

THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY JUN 12.
Today see’s the Moon in porous Pisces trine Mercury in Cancer and conjunct Mars and Neptune. This is a pretty emo layout. It looks like an unfulfillable longing, but it also looks boundlessly compassionate and selfless. A highly charged spiritual energy that can be subtly energizing though spacey and drugged out at the same time can be present here, and emotional subjectivity can be very high, at the same time, it can be difficult to define the line between our own and others feelings. A lunar square to the Sun can also see some emotional confusion highlighted. Nothing can be forced, so do try to avoid pressing yourself or others into making decisions, communicating something before you’re ready, or telling someone what they want to hear in order to appeal to their emotions. We are still in a Venus retrograde after all, so it’s important not to rush emotional processes, or come to decisions or proclamations hastily, even if pressured or pushed. This energy is largely passive aggressive in nature, and the emphasis on water is more prone to sulking, retreat, and poor me/victim status type behaviors as a pressure tactic than it is to more direct or overt applications, but the tendency towards emotional pressure is there with Mars being a key player here. Some things can just feel out of our control. Communication and thinking about emotions is a key player in todays configurations, getting the weekend off to an emo, comfort seeking start. Some people can be going through a hard time right now, so lending an ear or extending compassion and understanding can be really nourishing and beneficial to the heart and soul. Lunar sextile to Jupiter and Pluto later this evening can really magnify sensitivity and the feelings, and gestures of compassion, sensitivity, comfort and humanity can really make an impact. There can be some peak experiences happening this weekend, for better or worse, and it can be quite emotionally charged. There can be a certain helplessness to these configurations, as some things can be happening beyond our attempts to influence them. “Jeebus, take the wheel.”

SATURDAY JUN 13.
This morning begins with the Pisces Moon still squaring up to the Sun, conjunct Mars and Neptune, and sextile Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn. There is a tremendous amount of emotional and spiritual generosity under these configurations, and it’s possible that a helping hand steps in at the last minute and offers some kindness, support, stability, assistance, or does a favor in some other way. The Moon enters fiesta, and assertive Aries around 2 PM PST, while holding it’s sextile to Saturn in the 1st degree of Aquarius, a conjunction to Chiron in Aries, and an opposition to Juno in Libra. These configurations place an emphasis on emotional resilience, inner stability, and compassion for others. There is a “fighting spirit” to the Aries lunation, and Aries isn’t one to give up when the going gets tough. The conjunction to Chiron also places emphasis on the importance to look after oneself, and remember to to self nurture as much as you look after others, so that any adeptness at caring for others doesn’t come at the expense of meeting your own needs, emotionally and otherwise. Later, a lunar sextile to Venus in Gemini can see some pleasant interactions, and place the focus on seeking enjoyment and stability through communication and exchanges with others. There can be some healing or otherwise pleasing exchanges had this evening that can leave us feeling more confident and emotionally refreshed. Venus also forms a trine to Saturn as well, bringing a sense of stability within change that can be grounding and centering.

SUNDAY JUN 14.
Today see’s the Moon in Aries squaring up to Mercury in Cancer, opposite Juno, conjunct Chiron, and holding a sextile to Venus until about noon. This can see people feeling pretty emotionally sensitive, or a bit “raw”. There can be some indecision and weighing the pros and cons of something, and feelings and thoughts can be somewhat at odds. Simultaneously, the impatience of the Moon in Aries can create a feeling of urgency to decide and act quickly on something, possibly before we feel ready. There can be an emotional impulsiveness to this energy, and it’s possible to blurt things out in haste or under emotional or psychological pressure. We can just feel mentally and emotionally out of sync with the stimulus coming in, and very aware of our own and/or other peoples vulnerability or weakness. In certain instances, this can see us feeling protective over someone and wanting to stand up for them or advocate on their behalf, but perhaps not quite knowing how to go about doing that. The Venus trine to Saturn can assist with patience and interpersonal endurance, and certain bonds can be strengthened through challenge or adversity. This configuration also puts more skin in the game, and where people have maybe felt less serious about love or relationships, they can begin to feel more of a desire for stability, substance, and maturity. For some, this configuration can highlight age differences, student/teacher dynamics, or simply an interaction that offers a learning experience, and increases in wisdom and maturity for one or both parties. In either case, there’s something unconventional about what’s unfolding, with Saturn in Aquarius, due to head backward into Cap once again for a refresher course and final “pop quiz” on this previous transit. Saturn likes to make sure we’ve learned everything we can out of a transit before it commits fully to the next one. This summer will be a summer of retrogrades.
