ASTROLOGY FOR THE WEEK OF AUG 19-25 2024
MON AUG 19
The week kicks off with a chaotic Full Moon at 27 degrees Aquarius, exact at 11:26 AM PST. The major aspects the Full Moon makes is an opposition to Mercury Rx in Leo, and a square to Uranus in Taurus. We see a couple “triangles of tension” just now, the Full Moon configurations, and also Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Various unpredictable factors can see schedules relatively up in the air, making the need to remain adaptable and exhibit grace under pressure a highlight of the configurations. The tarot card ascribed to this decan of Aquarius is the seven of swords, a card of making a precarious, strategic but uneasy escape from a situation. The card associated with this decan of Leo is the seven of wands, a card of remaining tenacious and persistent in the face of obstacles, resistance, illness, or injury. What arises from these configurations can be surprising, contain a lot of unknowns, and call for being adaptable and innovative, as plans may be subject to change. There may also be a great deal of contradictory values, priorities and opinions to grapple with this week. The Moon enters Pisces around 4 PM PST, which can see some challenges come to the surface tomorrow that will require some understanding.
TUES AUG 20
The Moon in Pisces conjoins Saturn while opposing Venus, squaring Jupiter, and semisquare Pluto today. There’s a need for tolerance and endurance, and some people may need to manage their expectations a bit in light of certain realities that probably shouldn’t be glossed over. Venus squaring Mars and Jupiter while opposing Saturn can see some serious concerns, or high demands, and a tendency to overstretch yourself, take on a lot, or push yourself too far. There may be some situations that are unavoidable however. There can also be a need to exert some discipline over some overzealous or overindulgent drives that have become excessive or counterintuitive. The configurations point to a contradictory energy, one that slams on the gas, and the other that slams on the breaks. One that exclaims “Yes”, while another exclaims “No.” This dichotomy can occur internally as much as it can occur externally through other people or events. These trends can take up to September to find a point of balance. By evening time, the Moon squares Mars, which can bring irritability, frustration or a need to act to the surface. Tomorrow can bring certain issues to a head and see a need to take the path of least resistance or find a compromise between disparate elements.
WED AUG 21
The Moon in Pisces conjoins Neptune while sextile Uranus and Pluto today, which see’s certain inevitabilities or a need to embrace changes to routines, at least temporarily. Mercury Rx square Uranus and trine Chiron just now can see new information coming to light that may revolve around health or healing for some, or perhaps issues that have been suppressed or put off for some time are making themselves known. There can be some truths expressed that are cathartic. The Moon enters Aries at 4:02 PM PST, which by tomorrow evening, can see some good or timely news that can facilitate positive momentum around things that may have been troubling or concerning.
THURS AUG 22
The Sun enters Virgo this morning at 7:55 AM PST, while the Moon in Aries is in minor tension to the Sun and Uranus today. This can see most of the day requiring some patience, with some nervous tension that scrambles for quick solutions to problems or worries. Remain flexible and open to new perspectives or approaches. By evening time, the Moon is trine Mercury and sextile Jupiter, which may see feelings of optimism surrounding possibilities. Perhaps there is good news, or some other beneficial opportunities have presented themselves that make things feel like positive action steps can be taken, or in the very least, they should be.
FRI AUG 23
The Moon in Aries is conjunct Chiron and in trine to Mercury, and also makes tension with Venus in Virgo and forms a sextile to Mars this morning, suggesting a desire to take action. This can surround issues of healing or health, but can also regard emotional healing. By afternoon, the Moon is trine the Sun and Mercury while square Pluto, which can see some big changes, or something comes to a climactic or inevitable point. This can be ultimately positive, and it can feel as if progress is being made or help is on the way, although certain matters may feel intense or pressing. There may be a need for patience or restraint, as the Moon goes on to semisquare both Saturn and Jupiter. The Moon enters Taurus at 5 PM PST. Needs or desires can intensify right as the ability to do anything about them are somehow inhibited or delayed. Try to temper or manage expectations. The Moon trine the Sun in Virgo affirms grounding in reality and tending to life’s humble details.
SAT AUG 24
The Moon in Taurus forms a sextile to Saturn while semisquare Neptune, which can see a desire to stabilize things and make sense of confusing elements. There can be an out of sorts feeling, or a feeling of having to go without certain creature comforts, or an uncertainty around certain things that can cause some tension, second guessing, or worry. The Taurus lunation ultimately wants to enjoy itself, so have your little treat, just don’t go crazy. Whatever tensions there are can be smoothed over. Compromises can be found, or concessions can be made between disparate elements. The wee hours of Sunday can see some surprises.
SUN AUG 25
The Moon is square Mercury, trine Venus, and conjunct Uranus, seeing talks that can revolve around striking a balance, seeking compromise or making improvements. There can also be some unusual or unexpected messages or surprising, out of character moves. Perhaps some situations are rather unusual at the moment and require a great deal of flexibility and understanding. The Moon goes on to sextile Neptune and trine Pluto which can see some oddly pleasant experiences, or in the very least some truths can come to the surface quite out of the blue. There can be a chance for some enjoyment even if there are some tensions. The Moon enters Gemini around 8 PM PST, kicking off the week ahead with equal parts blessings and curses, with a strong zeal for getting things done and tackling life’s challenges.
